I used this doctor since Aug 2014. She is extremely unhelpful to give referrals from the get go but I insisted along the way. But at the end, I had to leave her care due to her refusal to listen and help me.
I have asked referrals for fertility specialist (paying doctors) and if I find them not giving the care I wanted to pay for (I had the right to leave those specialists), she was reluctant to give me another referral. She always had some explanation that was not satisfactory to me. I am paying partially for this fertility doctor...so I should pay if I feel they are giving me the care I want.

On August 10, 2015, she refused to give me a follow up ultrasound after incomplete miscarriage unless (her words), I have a high fever or infection. I told her by the time I have a fever or infection, I would have to be at the emergency so that is more cost and time rather than having a simple ultrasound follow up to determine I was passing tissues. She said it was not necessary until about two weeks or more later or I start to get symptoms of infection. Talk about prevention!

My biggest problem with her and the reason I decided not to go back to this clinic was her attitude. She was extremely patronizing, sighing and was throwing her body around when I questioned her resistance to give me a follow up and referral. This was also my 3rd miscarriage so I know the process. She was smiling and was talking to me very dismissively of my feelings and my conversation. BTW, she told me at my first meeting, her specialty was mental health. I am shocked she could not control her reaction and could not stay objective to my demands. I was wondering why she was rattled so easily?

This is a community clinic so perhaps the budget is tight and the main reason I am moving to a private clinic. However, I do not think I should beg a doctor to give me a referral to a Hematologist or give me a requisition for a follow up for an ultrasound for incomplete miscarriage!

Now I am still in the process of miscarrying (as I write this) and have to find another doctor to assist me. So if she was trying to save money for the govt (for the referral and the ultrasound), now I have to occupy another doctor's time to assist me...and I bet this will cost more than a mere ultrasound or a simple referral to a specialist.
