Biography
Dr. Chuck Beatty earned his doctorate at Nova Southeastern University ‘99 and subsequently became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He served as a Medical Officer in the United States Air Force for 12 years, wanting to contribute after the events of 11 September, 2001. (LtCol) Beatty continues his service in the Air Force Reserve. He obtained training few optometrists have: from trauma medicine to aerospace medicine with an emphasis in the eye, visual system and aviation environment. His specialty training includes refractive surgery, glaucoma, retinal disease management and ocular surface disorders including Sjogren’s. Dr. Beatty’s office is equipped with the latest in diagnostic technologies including retinal/nerve fiber layer analysis Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), pachymetry, retinal digital imaging, computed visual field testing and various other specialty testing capabilities.
