Dr. Jambura has violated numerous Hippa rules. He is treating a child for PTSD from an alleged incident prior to 9 months old. He will not talk to the biological parents to see the other side of the story. He has helped in taking away a child from the parents of a military veteran. Terrible bedside manner. He is also violating numerous court orders.

We are very happy with this doctor. He is very knowledgable, and the practice has a boutique feel since it is only one doctor, one nurse and a receptionist. They have the luxury of not rushing through each appointment, and use individualized approach to each family/child. The doctor answered all my questions during son's physical. We will definitely be back. I hope he stays working for 10 more years! Such an awesome doctor.

From reading reviews it appears one of Dr. Jambura's outstanding qualities is his "tell it to you like it is" manner. In our opinion, this was his worst quality. We sought his opinion when we needed a second opinion after the hospital made a recommendation for our newborn we were questioning. He would have no conversation with us! We wanted to talk about the issue, but he just decidedly said "yay or nay" (yay) and then stared at us as if to say, "What else is there to say about this-I already told you what the answer is" My husband in particular was so shocked and angered by his poor bedside manner he literally could not wait to get out of his office!!! Dr. Jambura was also extremely rough with our newborn, and literally made his SCREAM while just doing a routine look into his ear!! What in the world? This is our sixth child so we know that was unnecessary. No one else made this baby scream all through being in the hospital and seeing other doctors. Only Dr. Jambura. I think this doctor must pride himself on "knowing all that he knows." If you are a parent that has no idea what is going on and just needs someone to tell you everything and make your decisions for you, you might like this guy. But I like being part of the PROCESS of the decisions that need to be made for my children, and there didn't seem to be any room for that.
So how the story turned out was that we did NOT follow Dr. Jambura's advice, which would have meant putting our 4 day old son under general anesthesia to just "verify" nothing was wrong. We sought another doctor's advice and he actually contacted a specialist (in the area of concern) who thought the risk of general anesthesia on a newborn was greater than the risk of the potential problem and we should wait and see how things go. My son is now 4 and never had any problems and it turns out Dr. Jambura's advice was not even good advice. So he does not know everything, like a lot of these reviews make it sound (like he'll just tell you exactly what you need to know!) There is often not "a right and a wrong" when it comes to medical decisions. Sometimes you need to think through a situation to see what you are most comfortable with. He did not allow for that. He just thinks you should do it his way (or you're an idiot who doesn't love your child enough to do the right thing for them - that's the attitude he portrayed to us). Honestly I was shocked that so many parents seem to like this doctor so much. If it's just about how he'll answer the phone at 2am, well... That's never even happened to me having six children and that is not a good definitive way to choose a pediatrician. In my opinion it needs to be someone who will WORK WITH YOU on the MYRIAD of health issues that crop up in growing children.

I absolutely love Dr. Jambura and his staff! He is an incredibly positive and kind doctor and you can tell her really cares. He is honest and upfront with you about everything. He tells you what you need to know, not what you want to hear and I respect that immensely. All his staff is friendly and personable. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Jon has been AWESOME!!! He has been the pediatrician for my children for over 18 years. His personality and humor remind me of my Dad and he has always steered me straight. He would see me when I was too tired to make a good decision as a new mom and he kept my children growing appropriately, healthily, and I always felt they were being watched over by Dr Jon. He chewed me out once for NOT calling him in the middle of the might. He met me at the office for my son after 6pm on Christmas Eve. He understood the individual problems of each one of my kids and I have trusted his advice more often than my mother's (she had 8 kids). My children respect him and they are now leaving our home to build their own homes. If you want someone to validate your ideas, he is not the pediatrician for you. If you want someone to tell you the truth, then he is the pediatrician for you. I could not have asked for a better partner in raising healthy children.

As for his wife, Karen, I think she is awesome. Someone has to keep track of the books and everyday requirements. She has always made me laugh when I went in to the office and I have enjoyed her immensely.

30 years ago Dr Jambura was my pediatrician. I still remember when my sister's face got ripped to shreds by a dog at a weekend soccer game. Dr Jon showed up like an angel and fearlessly put her face back together by hand. Imagine a 6 year old with a hole the size of her fist through her face and cheek. Jon performed flawlessly with a cool and steady hand. 35 years later, you would never know she had been mauled. No major scars, no development or speech problems. Incredible. I remember myself being an insolent brat as a child, but I tell you what-I did what he said. Probably the only authority figure I respected at the time. If you're looking for a patsy to cosign your google ideas, keep walking. If you want someone to fearlessly defend the life of your child from the world of sicknesses, you can find none better. When my first child was born, I didn't hesitate for an instant to call. And guess what? I hadn't been there in 24 years and I didn't even have to spell my last name.

Oh-

And it was Memorial Day weekend and I could have met with him at midnight if I'd wanted to. No joke. This man's personal life is second to that of every child on this planet and it shows.

Dr. Jambura is the best pediatrician we have ever use and we have tried 3 others due to lots of moves. We always end up back with him. He will meet you at his office in the middle of the night, he is flexible with hours and his wife really helped me with getting a latch when I struggled with breast feeding. Yes, he can be blunt but he truly cares about his patients and anyone can tell he loves what he does! We love you Dr. Jambura. The Harris family!

It took 2 years for us to get our credit fixed because of a mistake on their part (Dr. Jambura's office). Our credit has otherwise been PERFECT and we have ALWAYS ALWAYS paid our bills on time. They had been sending out the billing statements to the wrong insurance company all along! They had sent us letters saying that they never got money from our insurance. After hours and hours on the phone we realized the problem --after being sent to collections. Dr. Jambura was just an OK pediatrician, but the billing/insurance mistake made it a nightmare for us.

I've taken my daughter to see Dr. Jambura 5 times now. The first two times I visited my wait time was 45 minutes. The last three visits there was no wait. I was not impressed with Dr. Jambura's helpfulness. I'm a first-time mom and I felt that he never explained things to me or let me ask questions. When I did force a question in, he would answer me as if I were 5 years old, and his explanation generally didn't even answer my question. My 3-month old has ear infections galore-- of course I have questions! If you want a doctor that just gives you a diagnosis and a prescription then Jambura is your guy. As for me, I'm switching pediatricians. I have liked his staff thus far--- except for his nurse--I think her name was Karen. I found her manner harsh and her advice unhelpful because she didn't listen/understand where I was coming from.
