Recently saw this Dr at the West Vancouver walk in clinic. As I am from Vancouver Island, I could not get to my family Dr. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. She spent two minutes with me and was extremely flippant. I showed her a rash on my chest and then showed her another patch, she barked at me, "you didn't tell me about that one".
Her receptionist is also unbelievably rude. We must be desperate for Doctors to accept someone like this.

I'm surprised Dr. Tichy is permitted to practice medicine - maybe the College is hiding something from the public? I've never met a more incompetent physician. I took my 13 year old son to have a back injury diagnosed from hitting the boards in ice hockey, and even after I explained my concern of a potential rib fracture or more serious vertebrae injury, Tichy barely examined my son, concluding soft tissue damage in less than 30 seconds. The entire exam, including Tichy's questions, lasted less than 3 minutes.

I can't believe Dr. Tichy is still working at the Park Royal Clinic after all the years of bad reviews. I unfortunately did not know who she was and saw her this last Sunday, February 21. Not only was she rude and unhygenic, she was dressed very unprofessionally. And then when I went to Shopper's Drug Mart it took them an hour to fill my prescription because of the errors in it. I was there listening to the pharmacists as they made phone calls and worked on filling it correctly!! Dangerous! Luckily the pharmacists were alert.

Unbelievable experience! Had the misfortune of seeing this "doctor" a couple of years ago at the Park Royal Clinic. The receptionist was also terrible. She ordered me to sit on the exam table to wait for the "doctor". I was not feeling well and preferred to sit in a chair. Receptionist told me the doctor can't examine me from the chair. I politely explained that I would prefer to wait in the chair. When the "doctor" finally came in she immediately starting barking at me about being rude to her receptionist. ???? After getting up on the table I explained that I had a terribly sore throat and headache to match. I said that I thought I might be coming down with the flu but was concerned about a throat infection. She then said "So, you think you're a doctor!" I ignored the comment. She examined my throat with a wooden tongue depressor and when done placed the depressor on the counter leaving it resting over the waste receptacle where all kinds of trash is deposited. After retrieving a throat swab she then picked the same used depressor up off the counter and attempted to use it on me. I asked if she would please use a clean one to which she took offence. This woman then began to yell at me about how I was being ridiculous, how clean her office is and how I should go somewhere else if I didn't like it. So I jumped off the table and walked out of the room. She followed behind me into the crowded waiting area, still yelling at me to leave and go somewhere else. I had enough and told her off in front of everyone for being so rude and unprofessional. I asked the receptionist for the number of the clinic's owner. She laughed and told me that if I was going to call to please be sure to mention how great she is at her job. I cannot believe this "doctor" is still practicing after all the complaints about her. She's nasty and disgusting. I've also had the misfortune of having to deal with her in MY line of work. It's all the same. Wherever she goes, she spreads misery. Try not to take it personally. She is a pathetic excuse for a doctor and human being and clearly has something deeply wrong with her.

I went to the Park Royal Clinic after I hurt my back and shoulder from a fall at work. The Medical Assistant told me I would probably have to fill out a WCB form, but to check with the doctor. Once Dr. Tichy came in, she immediately started yelling that she wouldn't see me. I was confused and I started to ask her, and she again yelled at me. I said to her, "I'm not trying to argue with you, but I just don't understand what's going on." She said, "you didn't fill out a WCB form" and she proceeded to kick me out of the room. I tried to explain that my back was hurt and that it was hard for me to move around, but that I'd be happy to fill out any forms. She again yelled at me and berated me in front of others as I was making my way to the front room. I walked right out. I went to another clinic where the doctor was great, and she determined that I had possibly fractured my ribs. I now know that Dr. Tichy is known in the community for this kind of awful behaviour.

Something needs to be done about this Doctor! Who does she think she is? She has got to be the rudest person I have ever met. She wouldn't let me speak, kept interrupting and misdiagnosed my problem, which I knew from the start. She needs to be taken down a few notches and speak TO people not AT them!! I honestly can't stand this woman, she is horrible!! I will never go to the clinic when she is on duty. It's unreal that someone would be allowed to treat people this way.

I went to Park Royal walk in clinic and was also the most unfortunate human being to have seen this contentious argumentative B. After thinking I had pneumonia, I told her both lower lobes were terribly sore. I also have M.S. as well as COPD a chronic lung condition. She said I probably had a virus. I replied that I may have one, but my sputum indicates I have a bacterial infection. Please could I have an XRay to make sure. After she examined me, she told me in her nasty tone that "Oh so now you are a physician?" I told her "I know my body much better than you do and I want an XRay! She replied, "do you know how much radiation there is in an XRay? I affirmed that I knew but said just to make sure because I have a lot of pain. Again she replied, so now you are a Doctor? This woman has a terrible bedside manner. I am assuming that she became a doctor somewhere in Russia or Yugoslavia. Run, do not stop if you see her name at any clinic. She works on the North Shore.

She is the worst doctor I have ever visited. Have gone to the walk in clinic in Park Royal a few times and had the unfortunate luck of seeing her. She has been tardy ( she was on call when the clinic opened at 830 in the morning but only waltzed inat 920 to three patients sitting and waiting in the examining rooms) she is rude, not only in her medical demeanor but also in terms of just being a polite human being, and she has the bedside manner of Hitler. Do not go to her! I will walk right out of the clinic if I find out she is on call.

Worst experience ever. Try other clinics before you walk there.She was very rude sine the biggining as to why did I choose sunday for going to clinic?.I went there for viginal itch problem and she wasn't willing to check me out.I have to ask her to check me,not to mention she acted disgusted for my request.I have done speculum before and she did it in the worst way possible and she literally after two seconds said that I have Herpes.you can imagine the shock on my face?she didnt even bother to answer my questions and said just Google it,Really? I did google it and see that I have no sign of it except the itch that could be other reason.The test result came back negative with inconclusive vaginal bacterial infection.I can not describe the pain that I went through for a week b4 my result came back and the humilation that I felt from her behaviour.I wouldn't recomment her to any one.She is rude,unprofessional,worst bed side manner and uncaring.

AVOID THIS DOCTOR. I would especially caution women with OB/GYN issues – Dr. Tichy is completely incompetent, unprofessional, and irresponsible. I had an urgent gynecological problem while my family doctor was away, so I saw Tichy at park royal clinic. I was concerned about a tampon complication that was showing signs of infection. She complained she "couldn't see anything” during her brief (< 20 seconds) pelvic exam and dismissed me like I was overreacting and wasting her time. Sure enough, she didn’t see the obvious indicator of infection, which became incredibly painful in the next couple of weeks until I got help from another doctor. Aside from her dangerous negligence, what was most disturbing and offensive was how visibly disgusted she was during the gynecological exam. One would expect an MD to be used to blood, but she treated it like filth. With such an attitude how could she possibly assist a woman giving birth? Appalling.
