Dr. Perler has a great personality, but he misdiagnosed me Years ago when I had Blood in my Urine, he told me that it was just a minor infection, well a few years later when the bleeding got very heavy i went to see another Urologist that found out that I had Bladder Cancer and I nearly lost me Bladder.With Dr. Perler the Cystoscopy was done in the Hospital with putting me to sleep and two Nurses cleaning around my private parts, the other Urologist did the Cystoscopy in his Office without putting me to sleep, only the surgery was done in the Hospital.

Dr. Perler is the best! A true gentleman, he wastes no time in coming to an accurate diagnosis. I've had 2 surgical procedures over the years, done by him. Both were successful and his after-surgery manner and office follow-up were professional and gentle. I was told beforehand what to expect during surgery and possible outcomes. He cured me! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone; in fact I took a friend with a somewhat similar condition to see Dr. Perler for a consultation. That person had an equally positive procedure and was also treated with the utmost respect. Dr. Perler listens to his patients without talking over them. I wish he could be cloned he's so good. His associate Dr. Leone is also tops in his field. Do anything you can to at least get a consultation with Dr. Perler. You will feel your condition as being treated by Vancouver's best.

Dr. Perler discovered a blocked ureter which was likely present at birth when I was almost 21 years old. He quickly ran a battery of tests and performed the surgery in the early 90's. The right kidney is something we watch on a regular basis and my current urologist, Dr. Truong always copies Dr. Perler on my progress. I consider myself lucky to have met both Dr. Perler and Dr. Truong. We have now discovered our 10 year old may have a similar issue, I have no concerns with these health professionals on my team!

My experience so far with Dr.Perler is that he is out-of-the box thinking expert always looking at bigger picture beyond the usual suspects. What was initially thought to be a problem with my reproductive system has prompted Dr.Perler to suspect an abnormality with my pituitary gland, which was later confirmed by MRI scan. I can easily see some other doctor prescribing me useless, expensive and potentiually harmful reproductive treatment rahter than looking for any other potential culprits so far out of the box.

This doctor has made a wonderful impact on my life. I was recommended to him after a terrible experience with another urologist. Dr. Perler is respectful, meticulous, knowledgeable and thorough. Something that is rare among the specialists I have encountered. I am so very grateful to have him as my doctor. I have great trust in his judgement.

I have had to see Dr. Perler a couple of times over the last 15 years and he is a very knowledgeable...and kind doctor which is rare when you are dealing with specialists. I am a female and was NOT crazy about having to see a male doctor but he was very considerate over my feelings towards this. He also knew what was wrong by just talking to him. Highly recommend him to anyone who has to see a urologist.

Dr. Perler has been my mom's urologist for more than 30 years, and mine for many as well. What a wonderful, kind, compassionate and gentle soul he is. Very, very knowledgeable in his field. I had surgery done by Dr. Perler five times over a few years, always found him to be calm, gentle, efficient with his talents...and carries a genuine concern for each and every one of his patients. I would highly recommend his expertise, though he no longer does surgery and works only part-time in his practice. He is an older man now and his health is challenging, but he is not the type to give up on his life's work. I hope he is in practice for a fair number of years yet. Wonderful, wonderful and kind man.

Dr Perler performed my surgery (kidney removal) 5 years ago. It was done perfectly. 2 weeks after the surgery i was already going back to school. I worried about the scar, but Dr Perler assured me that it woudn’t be a problem. That was true: the scar is almost unnoticeable now. Thank you very much, Dr. Perler!

I have been seeing Dr. Perler for a number of years recarding some spots of blood in my urin. This was diagnosed as no problem. However he has kept an eye on me for some ten years. While he is not loquations I feel he knows what he is doing and gets to the point and if it requires hospita work for further exams he seems to get me innto the hospital quickly. He phones me the result of any testing and this is done even orver the weekends. I would recommend him for any unairy problems.
