Dr. Segal and his staff are exceptional. I had a colonoscopy for the first time. I hadn't ever had surgery in my life before this event. They made me feel comfortable and took great care of me. It was a fast and successful procedure.

Dr. Segal is a great surgeon. He did my inguinal hernia repair in January of 2021, and was patient, helpful, and kind when addressing all of my concerns. When responding to my many questions, he was detailed in his explanations and conservative in his recommendations, and generally made me feel well-taken care of both prior to surgery and following my procedure. My scarring is minimal, and my experience was overall positive. I’m grateful that I found a quality surgeon who was able to correct the defect and make me feel comfortable in the process. He is a professional who takes his job seriously and values his patients’ well-being, and I’m grateful for his help. I would absolutely recommend him.

My inguinal hernia surgery failed, and now, the hole is bigger than it was before. I am a 28 year old female who had an uncomplicated inguinal hernia. I’m skinny, fit, and otherwise completely healthy. I was referred to this surgeon for an assessment, and he strongly recommended surgery to be done ASAP. I asked about waiting, and was told to “just get it done”. I took time off school and work. I had little to no pain prior to surgery. As soon as my gauze was removed post surgery, a bulge reappeared at the exact site of the repair. A year later, I had it diagnosed as a recurrent hernia that now appears at the margin of the mesh implant. I have gone from having no pain and no problems to having daily, continual dull aches, an unsightly protrusion, and a 2 inch long scar on my groin for a failed repair. I went from being an extremely active individual to one who needs to sit down after a long day. My hernia is now larger than it was. I’m disappointed and in pain. I have had NO injuries, no falls, and no excessive exercise since the surgery. I followed all advice and waited to resume even the most gentle activities. It should be mentioned that I was NEVER seen for a follow up despite contacting the staff multiple times concerning the new bulge.

Dr Segal is an excellent Doctor. He is very patient centred and professional. He helped me through my whole cancer journey with expert advice, referral , surgery, treatment and follow up care. His office staff is amazing, they are very prompt to help. High 5 to the whole team.

I have seen Dr SIegel several times for a rectal fissure which is fixed with Botox injections twice. And have an ongoing fistula that may need surgery but it has occasional flare ups. I would say that Dr Siegel is a excellent doctor and I feel confident with his advice and most definitely would highly recommend him. It sometimes takes a while to get an appt. but worth the wait. He is top knotch in his field. I am disappointed some people are giving him negative feedback and bad reviews. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it please. He doesn’t deserve the unkind words and reviews. He does his best and provides excellent care. Plus everyone can’t be perfect all the time. We’re all humans. I feel he is one of the best doctors out there with his kind demeanour and knowledable care always willing to listen and not rush his patients out the door. Thank you. Christine

I was recently cared for by Dr. Segal in the ER of Delta Hospital. I was experiencing all of the complications and pain associated with colitis; and for the first time in my life I was afraid. He turned things around for me in 3 days and I was on my way home. Dr. Segal not only provided me with his medical expertise; he also made me feel secure. God bless him and the staff he leads at Delta. You are all truly appreciated.

I really like Dr. Segal AND his office staff. Everyone I have dealt with is personable and responsive. The receptist is a gem - very helpful and communicative. Dr. Segal answered all my questions after surgery and never made me feel rushed. Also made himself available before my anesthetic as I had said I had some questions then.

Staff /Reception is the worst ever! Staff cannot be reached and trying to get a call back are next to impossible.
