We went to Dr. Cowan because he is affiliated with the WAPF and we were at the limits of conventional medicine. During intake, we were asked what the physical problems were. Dr. Cowan, after reviewing our information, took our case on. We signed up for ongoing coverage, with a minimum of 6 months worth of monthly payments because we were told that he could help. After a quick initial appointment, Dr. Cowan recommended treatment we had already tried with a Naturopath. When told that we had tried that treatment, he suggested, the supplements had to come from his office to ensure potency. After 6 weeks on the protocol, we saw no improvement. At that time, Dr. Cowan suggested we seek a specialist and that was that. He was done with us. We had to borrow money from my mother to pay for our appointments - appointments that didn't even come to be. Despite our letters asking to have the payments stopped based on the circumstances, they continued until the end. We felt truly taken advantage of.
