I think Dr Mainra is an impostor. He stated my Cough Syncope is caused by a Reflux. I strongly disagreed with his diagnosis. To boot, this so called specialist prescribed me a bronchodilator! to treat Reflux!!! as my GP tried on me in previous visit w/o success and I told Dr Mainra about that.

I wonder whether all these specialists are cut from the same cloth? The latest info on lungs is from 2017! It is like they are living under the rock. I will give it another try with different "SPECIALIST".
Regretfully, Jan

I would love to say something nice, but after confirming my appointment twice, not once, and rearranging my work schedule, I got a call saying I missed my 1:00 appointment. Well, it was for 2:30, not 1:00. If you get here now, he can see you. Get there in 7 minutes and after checking in, he himself comes out and says he can't see me as he has to go to the hospital. Could be why my appointment was changed without my knowledge. I have a new appointment, by phone this time. When the receptionist called, I asked her to send me an email confirmation also. We shall see what happens.

I think he's excellent and thorough. I enjoy my visits and as an asthmatic he has worked diligently to measure and stabilize my declining lung function. He's on top
Of his professional always suggesting or researching the latest medical advances.
I highly recommend him for any tespiroloically issue.
The receptionist is kind but she struggles with English sometimes but she gets the job done li

Receptionist is terrible, rude, and passive aggressive. She put me on hold without even speaking to me when I called so I had to call back because I did not know what was happening. Repeatedly when I call, she says "sorry" after I explain why I am calling. She does not say why she is saying sorry and fails to say which part of the conversation she didn't hear. She expects you to repeat the entire explanation all over again. She interrupts me while I am talking to her. I have to repeat information numerous times to her. She is a nightmare. I remember going to the receptionist around 5 years ago and I remembered how terrible of an experience it was dealing with her.

As for Dr. Mainra, he was unable to explain why I have reactive airways. Not helpful at all.

Dr. Mainra is careless he disregarded my health and disrespected me. He was very arrogant . I am afraid he needs to be trained in dealing with his patient's especially those who immigrated to Canada.

Dr. Mainra is a very caring and knowledgeable medical specialist. He is one of the best doctors I’ve met to date. His receptionist Sheri is also very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mainra to anyone who needs to see a Pulmonologist.

Today was my first visit to see Dr Mainra. I learnt about recent test results and got answers to all my questions about how to improve my asthma. Dr Mainra was very attentive and caring. As a retired nurse I felt Dr. Mainra was very knowledgeable . I feel secure in his care. He ordered follow-up tests to investigate something seen on a CT scan and to see if improvements occur with the proper medication scheduling. The MOA was very pleasant and accommodating.
