I broke both of my wrists and Dr.Le was able to get me fixed and out of casts within a week of my injury. Not sure how I would have managed otherwise. He explained everything in detail and I could tell he was knowledgeable and passionate about his job. Amazingly skilled surgeon. If I ever need surgery again he will be the only one I would consider.

I had a terrible skiing injury and smashed my elbow into several pieces. Dr. Le put me back together taking over three hours and four plates to reconstruct my elbow. It’s been six months and I can say I’m fully recovered with full motion! Even the elbow research assistant was amazed. That’s you so much for giving me back my life!!

I do believe that this doctor is extremely talented, sadly is very busy and very rushed because of his skill set. I have been waiting for 3 1/2 years to treat an ankle, surgery with a sprain and that sprain took six months to get an x-ray and then it took another six months to get the referral sent in. I know it was Covid so this really slowed things down… my referral was in and it was actually 3 years to the day when I finally got to see him (when he replied to the referral I immediately went for the requested testing, it was one more year to wait for the actual appointment)

I actually saw 2 different doctors about the pain / injury, one recommended surgery almost immediately but dr Le said that was a bad idea and that my injury wasn't that dire and actually sent me away with zero treatment at first to "wait and see" (it was the summer holidays so I met again 3 months later.) I didn't think that I was taken seriously considering it has already been 3 years with me on a non functioning ankle, and I'm basically a young woman that can't wear high heels with no reasonable explanation.

He did show me the scans explain what was happening, but the fact of the matter is that I was in pain.

I spent the summer pretending everything was fine (tried to wear heels, jog, etc. not really possible)
Then went back to discuss other options.

Opted for a gel injection.
When I managed to get that (they're kind of expensive) I went for the shot, he is really good it did not hurt nearly as badly as I thought.

My fear is that he has done an injection with 1.5 year old scans, and not using an ultrasound or any kind of vision assistance to confirm that it was in the right place. Maybe he is that good but my food has been in pain for a week.

He might be great with surgery and his bedside manner is amazing, I just don't know if he cared so much about this because in his mind it wasn't a "his problem".

I am appreciative he didn't rush me into surgery (I was booked right away to do surgery from the other doctor who was a podiatrist not an orthopaedic surgeon AND it is a major major surgery.) but I still haven't had my problem resolved. Hoping for a miracle.

I work in the OR with Dr. Le. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon. Everyone in the OR asks for him when they have any traumatic injury that needs surgery. You're lucky if you get him as your surgeon.

Doctor Ian le is an excellent Doctor,I travelled to go to Calgary Alberta just to go and see him again. I stopped walking due to accident that happened 10 years ago when I went to him , it sounded like a job. He was able to tell exactly what was wrong and a week after I was able to walk. God bless you Doctor Ian lee. No Doctors were able to figure what was wrong me.
Thank you Doctor Ian lee 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dr. Le is the absolute best. He has delt with me for the past several years due to inflammatory arthritis and terrible foot problems. He has phoned me personally at home. He has also wheeled me into the operating room himself and given me warm blankets himself. He has squeezed me in and listened to every one of my concerns. I have had terrible infections but he never gives up on me and works hard to come up with solutions. Calgary is so lucky to have him! Jaina is amazing as well, so kind and patient. Love her too!!!

Please believe me when I say I’m thankful I have a foot but when the implants wear out and it goes south, it seems no one cares it’s an endless misery. I wonder if it’s their foot and they have pain their ankle no just mine they don’t care very careless it’s the same as the other reviews that other people said you’re lucky to get a word in , it’s his arrogance, and you’re irresponsible to not consider the patient’s feelings I think he thinks it makes him look better similar to Dr. Yuen my old doctor https://maps.app.goo.gl/ucHdhv4cnAQaKiT38?g_st=it. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ucHdhv4cnAQaKiT38?g_st=it. It’s nice to have all this medical science and experimental surgery when you have problems and it goes south Like my foot they don’t care.

This doctor talks over top of you and is condescending and dismissive of your concerns if you can get a word in edgewise. His arrogance and manner cause him to miss important issues and diagnosis and makes patient recovery difficult. His staff have adapted his dismissive attitudes and treat patients horribly.
