Never met a Dr so devoid of wanting any connection with a patient! She types away on computer, doesn't even acknowledge you or even try to interact with you. I had emergency open-heart surgery last year, it didn't go well and I ended up on life support afterwards. Thank god I have a medical background, she was useless during all the visits I have had since starting recovery. As a TOTAL OPPOSITE, EVERY Dr involved in my care at Hamilton General in Cardiology was most amazing, patient and compassionate - especially the cardiac surgeon & even Chief of ICU! Dr. Raja barely gives you 3 minutes and after 2 minutes, she's got 1 foot out the door!!!! If it wasn't impossible to find a family Dr. in Ontaio I would be long gone!

I completely agree with one of the comments here about lack of empathy. She really only cares about her paycheque it seems. She has no time to listen to you. Shows zero empathy. Brushes off your concerns. Has no idea about you as a patient and your medical history. I get that you have a lot of patients but how hard is it to take 5 min to review your patient’s chart? I am not even sure about her medical knowledge. I’ve asked her some general questions about my medical concerns and it surprised me to hear her responses or lack of response. I always have to do my homework before I see her. The only thing she is good for is supplying you with some samples. THAT IS ALL. If I could give her zero stars I would.

It took more time to hold the door open for the lady in front of me than my “doctor visit”! I barely had time to say hello before she was gone. I didn’t get my issues addressed and or get the feeling that she was even listening to me before she was off to the next patient. I’m not kidding when I say this was a under five minute “physical”.

I booked multiple appointments trying to get an in person meeting wth Dr Sumaira Raja . Just for her to ask me questions that were irrelevant to the reason I had booked my appointment, then pretty much review all my files with me and then not fill out my forms because she doesn’t understand them. The forms were to be filled out by a doctor and she fully started asking me what to put down. I felt so very unheard especially when it came to my concerns with taking medications. She pretty much stated that I won’t get better unless I start taking drugs. Drugs that may or may not help me or that I would have to go through different types to find what works and I’m not willing to do that. I got very emotional due to the fact that I felt like she wasn’t taking me as her patient seriously to in which that she responded with “oh you really are depressed”. I miss my childhood family doctor so much. Strongly wouldn’t recommend if you are struggling with mental health and wellness.

Dr Raja does not give you time or compassion. I experienced a miscarriage and she threw statistics at me, was so cold and not once did she show compassion. Not to mention, she can't even make herself available for a follow up appointment to answer my questions or concerns. I've also had to remind her about my medical history and request all tests. Do not recommend.

Dr. Raja was very wise and humane, she cares and actually listens what you need to say and because she is very knowledgeable she will quickly give you the attention you need
