After an initial false positive drug test Dr Puyzycki, and his staff treated me as a drug overdose. Not only did they refuse to believe me when I stated that I'd never used drugs, but they also became angry with me when I refused to be sedated with a male stand by in my room.
To me that is just common sense. But they took it as an insult and decided to medically restrain me.
The staff gave me haliperodol, and repeatedly lied about what they'd given me.
I suffered through neuroleptic malignant syndrome.. barely able to communicate, and in the worst fear of my life (and I'm a combat veteran) for 3 days.
A thorough examination of my records show that the drug test later showed true negative (a dentist had given me tramadol for a tooth infection, and it had interacted with my regular medications causing sereonin syndrome)
the staff ignored my bruises, and the capsular tearing of my left rotator cuff, the sprain of my left hand, and near severing of my left ulnar nerve... the result of an assault.
They claimed my extremely high CPT was from drug/ alcohol abuse regardless of the fact that it is actually one of the many indications of NMS that I sufered from during my stay.
I now suffer permanent damage of the NMS: tardive dykinesia, memory impairment, cognitive dysfunction...
Proper attention, diagnosis, and treatment, could have spared me this.
Even when the NMS presented, I could have been treated for it, instead of ignored with the assupmtion that I was "just another junkie". Not to say that people with substance abuse issues don't deserve proper care.. in fact, this just proves their needs to be some "housecleaning" done of this staff.
They ignored my symptoms, and now my condition is permanent.
1. How many others have been misdiagnosed, and mistreated, while under this doctor's care?
2. How many people who suffer from actual substance abuse issues have been treated inhumanely under this Dr's care.
This man needs to sit down and seriously consider why he became a Doctor.. because, as it stands, he is hurting, not helping his patients.
I had to go out of state, to the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester MN, to be correctly diagnosed, and receive palliatic care.. because what this man did to me caused permanent disability.
I will gladly be sworn in, and give testimony, against this man, and the staff at Lakeland's Cardiac Telemetry unit.
Dy Puyzycki, I forgive your callousness, but not your ignorance. It is a hazard to your patients. People deserve better.

My experience over the last 2 years with this Dr. has been very unsatisfactory. It's my belief that he is his own "Biggest Fan", he simply refuses to listen and respect his patients point of view. Patients are seemingly very much "beneath him". Sorry, but it's just a fact in my opinion & experience.
