He is simply fantastic! We were so lucky to find him. My daughter saw another doctor who wanted to do surgery right away. He did not seem caring and I left feeling overwhelmed and lacking information. Dr. Ian MacDonald was the exact opposite. He was so caring and reassuring. He was honest. He told me she would probably need surgery but there is no rush and that we could wait and watch and assess her overtime. After two years she had surgery at the age of 4. She is 11 and she has had no issues. He is just so amazing and the day he retires we will be so sad. He’s the best.

Dr. Ian MacDonald changed my life after performing surgery on my lazy eye. It's crazy to think something so "small" would have such a drastic impact on the path of my future. I was a teenager at the time but it raised my confidence so much so that I went into a field that required meeting people constantly and being in the public eye. This is something I never imagined for myself and would never have been possible without all that Dr. MacDonald has done for me. For this I am immensely thankful.

After years of being sent to one ophthalmologist after another, Dr. Ian MacDonald was able to give me a concise diagnosis of my eye problem. Dr. MacDonald is a gentleman, a good listener, and a compassionate doctor. I enjoy our time together and appreciate his intellect and knowledge. And, he helps lower my anxiety over my condition.
So what if I have to wait; the experience is worth my time.

Dr. McDonald is a very intelligent man who wants only the best for his patients. He treats you like a person and is interested in how you feel about your situation. His bedside manner is some of the best I've ever seen and he's even a friendly guy. Trust him completely with my eye problems.
