bruce has terrible bed side manners. What he says is, that's it, cant contradict, and advise, even if word is from Halifax, He informed me to prepare for my spouse's / burial more or less when it was involving his lung not heart , Bruce argued that it was his lung , not heart, which it was, so why make a statement as such when you handle heart , not lung,, Needs to think before he speaks, and also realize he is not GOD

Very friendly and very knowlegeable.Doesn't rush you out of his office.Would recommend him to anyone.Great cardiologist.

I Found This Doctor to be excellent,After heart surgery everything went wrong > Dr.McClelland attended to me for several months including draining my left lung which was full of blood. He tried to get someone to drain the lung , when no physician stepped up he performed the performed the procedure. Excellent and caring. Thanks to him i am feeling much better.

This Dr. saved my life. When all others thought the wrong diagnosis, he found my problem within 5 minutes of my visit with him. Thank you, Dr. McClelland. Please stay in Cape Breton where you are certainly needed. You gave me back my life and my children their Mom....Karen Peach, Glace Bay, NS

Cape Breton's good fortune is to have this heart specialist here. He saved my life and that of my husband. If he moved I think we would have to move to the same place in order to keep living. Plus he and his staff are just expceptionally nice and respectful to all patients.

He's very knowledgeable but doesn't always remember to use it! I found him arrogant and once he is unable to do anything (in his own mind) for you, he dumps you. I had an overall bad experience with him and am very lucky to have found a much better Doctor. Dr. McClelland told me the Dr. in Halifax who worked on me - tried to perform angioplasty and stenting but failed - shouldn't have said my LAD would close again. Well it did close again but Dr. McClelland didn't want any part of me anymore! I'm glad others had good experiences, but I sure didn't! Absolutely loved his wife, though - she's fantastic!

EXCELLENT DOCTOR. LOOKED AFTER MY DAD BEFORE HIS PASSING. EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US IN EVERYDAY LANGUAGE THAT WE COULD UNDERSTAND. TO THIS DAY, ALWAYS SAYS HELLO AND I AM SOME GLAD THAT HE IS STAYING IN SYDNEY. WE DID HIM.

kind and careing about his patients, does not rush one out the door. Really listens to patient. We are very lucky to have him. Does a lot of tests himself so he knows exactly what is happening. Hope he stays here forever.
