Was a pleasant visit. Dr Perkins reassured me that pending some test results, my problem would be handled quickly and left me not worried about the test outcome.

She is always rushed, I am 37 weeks and had to use her for this pregnancy due to transportation. Although very nice when I do see her I have only had 1 ultra sound and have yet to be checked for cervical changes, even though I've been having fairly strong regular contractions, she made me feel like it wasn't a big deal. She's only in the room long enough to say I seen her then gone. I feel if she spent more time with her patients and checked to make sure baby placenta and fluid was ok at least a few times during pregnancy she'd be great.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr Perkins, and will absolutely go back to her in the future. I felt like I could always approach her with any questions or concerns I had, and she never made me feel stupid for asking. I felt like she had great bedside manner. She is a no none sense kind of doctor, and doesn't sugar coat anything, but I would prefer that to the alternative. What REALLY stuck out to me about Dr Perkins is that she is very flexible, and is very understanding that each person is different and with that comes different personalities, circumstances., and wants when it comes to labor and delivery. She made the entire experience stress free and comfortable, from pregnancy to delivery, which is much more than I can say about the doctor I had for my first pregnancy in a different hospital. It shocks me to read some of the negative reviews of her, but I guess you can't please everyone. I will absolutely continue to see her for annual exams and would not hesitate referring her to others.

She doesn't listen to what you're saying and can be argumentative. She's condescending and dismisses symptoms/side effects that you complain about (that goes back to her not listening to you...).

Dr. Perkins is a great doctor, I have been seeing her since I was 16. I was pregnant at 16 and neither her or her staff ever made me feel uncomfortable, (excluding Dr. Flowers during my labor.) If you have an afternoon apointment, yes, you probably will have a bit of a wait. It really just depends on the day, I have had afternoon apointments and been taken back within 20 minutes, and I have also waited up to 45 minutes. I would wait hours to see Doctor Perkins. I found out I have HPV and she informed me on everything and really calmed me down about it and ensured me that it would be okay. She told me to take vitamins (which I did) and now I have it under control. Dr. Perkins is wonderful. Yes, I have been asked if a student could come in the room, but no one ever has in the 4 years I've been going. You are always welcome to say "NO."

I've seen Dr. Perkins twice, for prenatal care. I believe she probably is medically competent. But her service is terrible. Her main objective so far has seemed to be to rush me through what she wants to do, avoid any questions I might have, or argue with them when all I want to do is understand, and send me packing. She seems to have no interest or time to help me understand my own medical situation, options, and what I'm paying thousands of dollars for. Her nurses behave similarly. To compound this poor service, I have been made to wait 75 and 120 minutes past appointment time to see the Dr. Perkins, who then spent 12 and 4 minutes with me. Other departments at the medical center, including billing, registration, and medical records, by contrast, have been normally to very helpful.

I have had nothing but good experiences with dr perkins. My sister first went to see her after a long night in the er with an ovarian cyst. She went into detail about how this happens or doesn’t happen. She explained everything so we could understand. Even growing up in a medical family there r still things u just don’t understand. I then switched to her for all my "female" stuff. I have had several procedures done and have always been told what she was going to do and what to expect. Sometimes the wait is crazy but she can’t control when someone will go into labor. I waited 2 hours one day to be seen. She would come see a patient and then go check to see if the baby was ready to come. Again not something anyone can control.

Dr Perkins is one of the best doctors I have dealt with, she very compassionant. she may at times describe things in the non medical terms, but thats so you can understand it a little better. she has always explained everything in detail to me and on 3 sep occassions did not even charge me for my visit.when a mass was found by another dr on my ovary she was called in by my dr. and took over and treated me with the upmost respect and care, she performed the surgery, and discribed in detail what i had...I can not understand how anyone would feel different towards her..everyone has a bad day maybe it was just a bad day for the other patients who felt different..
