I found Dr Smith very helpful and knowledgeable! His staff and PA was very helpful. He was so kind and explained everything I wanted to know.His bedside manner was great and he was very professional!He is a fantastic surgeon!

Office staff not very helpful. Office closes without notice - No note on office door - answering service has no clue, etc. They do not return calls in a timely manner or not at all. You are not told when the Dr is not there and show up for your appointment and no Dr only PA (even on first visit). Medical advice dragged on (7 months) with no plan from Dr. Do NOT recommend having MRI done in his office.

My 83 year old mother broke her hip in Borger, Tx and Dr. Smith agreed to be her doctor. She had cancer. We went by ambulance to BSA in Amarillo and Dr. Smith didn't show up to see her. Was Sunday. He didn't come on Sunday or Monday by 6pm and he had scheduled her surgery at 4:30pm. We called his office and he said he still had several patients in his office and that he would do surgery NEXT day. We released him and were able to get Dr.James Parker to do the surgery. Her family was there with her waiting for him. She was in horrible pain because her pain med wasn't working and he wouldn't return call to hospital staff, according to nurses. Thank God Dr. Parker came to her rescue. Don't know what would have happened. Dr. Smith had been mother's doctor and my doctor in his office and we loved him.
