I was very resistant to seeing an OB for my pregnancy, as I did not want any medical intervention in my birth. Dr. Zonfa more than met me halfway in terms of respecting my needs, wishes and boundaries. He spoke to me like an adult who would understand - he was the only maternity care provider I saw during my pregnancy who didn't speak to me as though I were an idiot or a child. He offered the medical evidence for his recommendations, and was willing to look at the evidence for alternatives that I suggested he consider. He went out of his way to attend my birth, which would have been terrible if he was not there to stand up for my wishes in the face of a lot of hostile hospital policies and non-evidence-based "procedures." I thoroughly and warmly recommend Dr. Zonfa for pregnancy care.
