I have no issue with staff. They seemed to be caring and professional. Dr Gonzalez seems to possess the knowledge, training, and ability to do his job, but he is arrogant, rude, insensitive, and seems dismissive of patients’ feelings or concerns. My first encounter with Dr Gonzalez was for nerve testing related to Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. I understood the test was necessary, and would be uncomfortable/painful - I was just glad when it was over. I would Not have gone back to this doctor if I had any other option. I began to suffer worse and worse, with symptoms of Fibromyalgia. I was no longer able to work. The Neurological exam with Dr Gonzalez was required as part of my fight for Disability Benefits. While the doctor’s staff seemed caring, and compassionate, it became Quite clear to me that Dr Gonzalez either did not believe in Fibromyalgia, or had absolutely no care, concern, or compassion for a patient being put through physical and emotional agony at his hands. Knowing how painful my first encounter was, I thought I had prepared, and planned ahead, by medicating before hand, with this second encounter. I was in tears, and asked multiple times to just stop for a moment, for a Tiny break. The staff seemed sympathetic, and did what they could to help me get through, and just get the testing over. We really Need a different Neurologist in our area. Not having a choice, or other options is miserable, and just Not acceptable.
