Dr. William (Bill) Dobson
Punctuality
Ratings for Dr. William (Bill) Dobson
Dr. Dobson does not listen to you when you speak. He plays off mistakes as jokes and refuses to apologize, despite these mistakes leaving me without medication numerous times during a pandemic. He seems to hit a limit of how much he believes can be wrong with you and if you exceed it, he tunes you out for his anecdotes. He once told me he Googled my symptoms and nothing was wrong - not what I want to hear from a doctor. And this is if you manage to catch him, as he takes numerous vacations and is impossible to book time with.

I like Dr Dobson. I agree that he has a tendency to think that you are just doing fine and that it's all in your head, but overall I have never been misdiagnosed. He asks for tests when he feels I need them and he is a very nice person. I've seen other doctors before but no one was as nice as he is. He is very knowledge. I am surprised to see here negativity towards punctuality and staff. He is always on time and the staff was never rude to me.

Dr. Dobson does not listen. I make appointments to see him about specific issues and he talks about anything but those issues. He is uncaring and presumptuous. He does not even give me a chance to ask questions. He would rather talk about airplanes than health issues.

Dr. Dobson has been my family doctor nearly my whole life. The friendliest doctor in any field that I've encountered. Living in Toronto and seeing walk-in doctors all the time who leave me filled with questions and lingering concerns, I will always go out of my way and take a day off work just to get to Oakville to see him for an appointment.
He's always on time, always very attentive and puts my mind immediately at ease. As a hypochondriac, this is extremely helpful for me. He listens to my concerns, is always a step ahead and gets the correct tests done, correct diagnoses or refers me to the the right person. Also incredibly good at explaining complex things into terms that I can fully understand. I cannot appreciate him being my doctor enough.

My family and I have been patients of Dr, Dobson since 2001. I wanted a doctor that had hospital access and that could care for our growing family.
Dr. Dobson has been a great doctor. He is punctual, patient and kind and very supportive. He does not over prescribe and will refer to specialists when appropriate. Like many doctors you have to be your own advocate, and with Dr. Dobson he will listen and support you.
I highly recommend Dr. Dobson.

I have been a patient of Dr Dobson for a long time. He makes you feel at ease with his great attitude. Asks what your concerns are and then lets you know what he suspects. He will then refer you to a specialist. recommend a test or scan. or write a prescription. He is always on time never late once.

Dr. Dobson is a great doctor. My family has been patients of his for close to 20 years. He has always been respectful, on time, and has a warm and caring demeanor. My brother-in law is also a family doctor and whenever he knows about an issue we have he'll say "make sure your doctor does this test or gets this scan from the lab. There are a lot of doctors who won't take it seriously or cut corners. " Without even mentioning my brother in-laws recommendation to Dr. Dobson he typically sends us to take the appropriate test or scan. He is very thorough in his approach and I would highly recommend him.

He should not be practicing. Doesn’t listen. Has forgotten to send urgent referrals and plays it off as a funny mistake. He doesn’t take patient health seriously. He plays down every health issue you have. He talks over you when you are trying to explain your concerns. He refused to refer me to other specialists when I had repeatedly expressed I needed help. Horrible experience. Do not visit.
