No doubt, Dr Ward must have been a a good and active doctor during his active practice age. Age and emerging high tech in medical practice seem seem not too friendly in his over all current performance. He finds it difficult accepting other's (patients view point)and most patients will be tempted to describe him as a 'difficult doctor'. If not for the economic pressure on families, the doctor, by all standards and consideration the will address optimal performance and relevance, should have finally retired and rested. The current recycling from hospital - GP- hospital- GP environments is not in the best interest of quality and effective healthcare delivery. No matter out outstanding IQ's memory, cognitive function, alertness, social skills, helpfulness and knowledge are all fundamentally functions of age and ageing. At good age of 74+, these listed factors but run a divergent course with a man, no matter his level of education. Now not a bad time for him to step aside for good -RETIRE

Fabulous Dr. Ihave seen many specialists, paid thousands of $ and Richard has hit the nail on the head with the correct diagnosis and taught me how to manage my condition. I have never been happier.

This Dr is way out of his league to be the Head Dr of all the hospital pt's.He Rx's are way too low in doses of pain meds so the person's pain just continues to climb. My self have had the perminent label of "Opiate Addict" written on all my files because my condition verified by a Neurologist.Psychiatrist & Nurse's and an Addiction Specialist all needed to prove to this ONE Dr that I am NOT an ADDICT & should be given my PRESCRIBED medication when my pain get's so bad,not only can I NOT eat or drink, but attending the ED means my pain is now so bad it needs medical intervention.Only to have Dr Ward & his little Restra Buddies freak after reading the letter to "GIVE THE TREATMENT""This women is in agony with a very complicated & painful condition",when Dr Ward is still saying he's not sure if the medication ORDERED by my Specialist's is going to work & is warranted?!God help me.It's time to retire Richard Ward.

Believe's anyone in pain is a 'drug addict' then allows them no pain relief.Writes "No opites"accross files.Although the person HAS NEVER abused or taken drugs!Very, very narrow minded man.Causes people a LOT MORE pain than nessccessary.Comes across all nice at first meeting but the is the last of the niceness you will see.Doesn't carry out the treatments he says will start to make you comfortable & well.He is s VERY subburn man who thinks that once he has decided something, then it is right & there is no budging. Thanks to him my Pain Specialist is getting constant phonecalls from staff about my pain, only to have Barry yell at them that the treatmens that Dr Ward wrote up are ALL WRONG!Dr Ward doesn't like to be wrong at all. Will Dr Ward ever wake up & realise that I do need pain meds on the odd occasion you or I attend?I don't think so.A closed mind in medicine is a very bad thing.Maybe he should do some reading on my debilitation conditions.Maybe then he might believe & treat me.
