Dr. Johnson is on the surface intelligent and helpful, I'm a young healthy adult male. However. when my body began to break down, he was very insensitive to my situation. I was in intense pain because of a back issue, and he so much as said all back pain was eventually mental. I finally went to a Disc Specialist, I had a full herniated disc with a nerve pinch. I'm now on disability trying to heal. After months I still cannot sit down without pain. Dr. Johnson had an opinion about what was wrong with me, and the severity without even really asking me what was going on. My experience with Dr. Johnson was absolutely terrible.

Dr. Johnson told me that the nausea, vomiting and, extreme abdominal pain I was experiencing was in my head. I ended up in the ER and was admitted to the hospital for 4 nights with CVS (cyclical vomiting syndrome). I tried to tell Dr. Johnson about this syndrome, he refused to look at the medical research and, continued to tell me it was psychological and that I could "control" it. I was not yet diagnosed w/CVS--I spent an entire night convincing myself it was in my head, by morning I had to rush to the ER w/dangerously low potassium levels from dehydration and vomiting. If you want to be treated with respect, avoid this doctor. He is not concerned with the well-being of the patient and lets his God complex (ego) get in the way. Every time I have gone to his office, I have waited over 45 minutes just to get into a room--another 15-30 to actually be seen by the doctor. The only positive thing I can say about this place--the nurses are wonderful!

Dr. Johnson is my PCP. I had a severe ankle fracture a year and a half back (July 2008) and it was getting worse. No other doctors were taking me seriously until I found the guys at UCLA. Dr. Johnson had me go through a series of diagnosis - MRI, CT Scan and X-rays and discovered that my past treatment had been horrible and he was sincerely angry that I had to go through such horrible treatment. He most diligently got me through the right channels and I am now under the care of one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons in UCLA. I had a bone-graft surgery recently and things are looking pretty good. I am still in a cast no matter what, ever since I switched to UCLA, I had nothing but genuinely good medical care that you'd expect from your care provider. These guys will not cheat you for time or money and will get you the best care possible. He himself said we care more about our patients, we make enough money but we are probably the only few who take genuine interest in patient well-being.
