Terrible! Told me that at 28 weeks cramping and bleeding was 'normal' and to go back to work! My boss drove me to his office. His nurse gave me a gown, but he never examined me!!! I was in labor for 24+ hrs, called office many times but told only to call if bleeding got worse. (bleeding was minimal but cramping was getting worse). Finally spoke with different nurse and she said "how fast can you get here?" The other Dr. examined me and had me rushed to the hospital since I was in labor. My dtr was born at 28 weeks and spent 51 days in the NICU. He had the nerve to come into my room the day after she was born and say "I guess *you were* in labor." Since my dtr was born I've heard of many other patients who have had major problems with this doctor. And as a side note...he does not believe in ultrasounds or in epidurals during labor. Stay away if you are pregnant, find a competent Dr.

I was looking for a VBAC-friendly doctor. Dr. DeMott was it! He is very kind and takes all the time he needs to at the appointment to answer questions. His blood sugar test does not require drinking that orange "soda" drink, just a sensible breakfast (choose from the items on the list) one hour before blood draw. Didn't do vaginal checks before labor as they don't really give you a clue about delivery date anyway. Also, was very patient with my LONG labor. Very knowledgeable about VBACs and has a very good success rate with them >90%. So glad I found him!
