I had a deviated septum and a polup in my nasal cavity that became infected. Dr. Lee performed the surgery on January 28, 2014 and just 1 month later, I can't describe how wonderful I feel. He straightened my septum and removed the infected polup and now I can breathe and smell so much better. I used to have such a fowl smell in my nasal passages and now the smell is totally gone. Thank you so much Dr. Lee!!!

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. James L. Lee in Ashburn for ENT consultation, and what turned out to be cancer surgery. Dr. Lee diagnosed the problem right away and immediately set up a plan for surgery, followed by radiation and chemo. It turned out the cancer was much more aggressive than even he had anticipated, but he worked for 7 hours in surgery to carefully remove all of the affected tissue without creating any collateral muscle, nerve, or vessel damage. All follow up visits were excellent and he carefully guided me and my wife through the entire illness. He did an amazingly excellent job in every aspect of surgery and care, and for that, I am eternally grateful. His professionalism, skill, positive attitude, in conjunction with his friendly, and caring bedside manner make him an outstanding physician for anyone needing ENT care, and especially for anyone needing ENT-related surgery. He is siimply a fantastic doctor.

The receptionist was polite and friendly. I wish the same could be said for Dr. Lee. I found Dr. Lee to be arrogant, a poor listener, rude, curt, unhelpful and, thus, useless. He showed very little interest in me. I suspect Dr. Lee's focus is elsewhere than recurring growths in the middle ear. He did a cursory exam, asking few questions. Cleaning out the ears with a "scraping" instrument can be painful, but at no time did Dr. Lee care other than to comment that my ears hadn't been cleaned out a while. He was clearly irritated by my bringing my camera (I never go anywhere without) and was taking a quick pic of my wife for light exposure in the waiting room before I was called back. My wife was the only person in the waiting room. Dr. Lee admonished me he didn't want patients photographed. I have been doing photography for years globally and I think by now I'd be aware. But to the doctors Lee of the world others except he are stupid! It's his way. My way: never go back!

The billing office miss billed insurance several times even after I spent hours trying to fix it. I ended up having to pay the whole bill out of pocket because they went to a collection agency 2 years after the visit and it was too late to collect from insurance. The bill is still incorrect. You can find a similar doctor in the area that wont give you this kind of hassle on the back end.
