Dr. Beresford most likely saved my life and helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life - for this I will be forever grateful - he is a very good man.

My daughter who has been treated by Dr Beresford for several years has admitted to me that she is now addicted to the medication that he has been prescribing for her, adderall and xanex. After seeking the help of counselors from different rehab facilities she called Dr Beresford to let him know what she was doing. He told her she ddn't need rehab that she was not addicted, that she was receiving "prescribed drugs" and counseled her against detoxification which she was willing to do. She had tried to stop the medications without help and became scared, confused and physically ill. She knew she was addicted but let him convince her otherwise as she, though willing, had an underlying fear of treatment. I am her mother and I am devastated that he was able to sway her against treatment. He continues to prescribe these medications for her. I have filed a compliant with the Illinois Dept of Federal Regulation and encourage anyone who has had similiar experience to do the same. It is such a terrible thing to do to someone who struggled to admit addiction and finally decided to get help.
