I've been a patient of Dr. Hoffman's for more than 20 years. She takes the time to ask about my family, changes in my life, new stressors. She remembers me personally from visit to visit. She is open to options for care - diet/nutrition vs medicine, at one high anxiety period in my life she recommended talk therapy rather than meds, etc.

Dr. Hoffman is a very special MD. She is attentive to my needs and always comes up with the right diagnosis and treatment. She is always on time and her staff is friendly and helpful. When I visit her I feel special. I hope she practices forever!

I highly recommend Dr. Hoffman. She totally focuses on the whole person and not just one thing. She is very experienced in what she does. Her staff are very intelligent young women who are very welcoming and helpful. Dr. Hoffman is well worth the $2200 a year in which I was able to get reimbursed through my Flex spending account.

I feel Dr Hoffman's memory has declined over time and her desire to be a "one-stop" doctor has made her knowledgeability a sort of deficit.I am regretfully leaving her care after many years because of errors she has made, plus my feeling in my most recent exam that she was forgetting details that are in the record right in front of her. In addition, she has joined a high-priced concierge network and it was actually their wellness protocol that caused her most recent error. She never apologized or followed up with me regarding the mistaken test she'd ordered for me, never even called the specialist to compare their two tests. And had she remembered that she sent me to him and which test he does, she'd have remembered to give me that one - perhaps? Or does my $1500 extra a year to MDVIP, on top of PPO, act like managed care, dictating which cholesterol test she's allowed to order? At least as a scientist, I would hope she'd want to compare like with like, to track my levels over time

I went to this doctor because I was told she is top notch. I do believe that she is smart, listens, and holds the potential to be helpful. However, she runs many tests and then forgets that she's run some of them and also totally lost or had no record of one test procedure she performed in the office! Additionally, I found that she has a tendency to push medication. Finally: She is very expensive and does not accept insurance. All in all, I don't particularly recommend her.
