This doctor is the worst doctor, i think he should not be a doctor. He essentially misdiagnose the patient, although he is not the specialist, keep insisting it shouldn't be a problem. Guess what? he is 1000% wrong, so now, the patient life cut short because of him. So, go to this doctor at your own risk. So, if anyone read this, please avoid this doctor, at any cost. If you love your family, friends, don't go to this doctor, please. I beg you. See a real professional instead.

Wow the staff is so rude and unprofessional the receptionist made multiple appointments for me when the Dr. Wasn't even coming into the office when I asked Dr.Dhalla about the issue he simply said I don't care for you so go find another Dr. That's not even the worst part I was taking anti anxiety meds for years and those appointments that they booked when the Dr wasn't there meant I couldn't get my medications as a result I lost my job my girlfriend and went through hell in my opinion never go to this Dr.

Dr. Dhalla has taken over both my parents files. He has been extremely attentive and helpful. He has contacted me on long weekends to speak about my parents before upcoming appointments to be prepared. He has set us up with assistance and been absolutely fantastic. His front desk nurse has been equally remarkable, helping us with everything my parents need medically. They are both very patient and thorough. We are extremely fortunate to have fount Dr Dhalla. My brother have moved to Dr Dhalla as well.

HE SHOULD NOT HAVE A MEDICAL LICENSE. He misdiagnoses and forgets. his receptionist mixes up patients and test results. It is disgusting to watch. Dr is always late and nervous diagnosing. How does the Academy of Medicine not review this.

Just to let the person know who commented on September 16, 2021, saying that everybody is doing their best in these trying times.. READ THE DATES. These have been ongoing issues of this doctor since YEARS ago, loooong before Covid !! And it is absolutely not a defamation of character when all of these complaints are 1000% accurate and true. This almost sounds like it’s coming from staff at the office.

I am leaving yet another review, just to give another example how absolutely terrible this doctor and his office are.

I have been trying to get an appointment with Dr. Dhalla for 2.5 WEEKS. I had initially called on Monday September 27th and left a message asking for an appointment. I did not get ahold of anybody nor did I receive a call back, I left another message on Tuesday. I never received a call back. I finally got ahold of a nurse Wednesday morning who said Dr. Dhalla was off work all week and wouldn’t be back until the following Thursday, October 7th, but would still do phone appointments. I was told he would call me the next morning, Thursday September 30th. I waited all day and never received a call. I called Friday morning and left a message, 2 hours later - no call back. So I called again at 11:30. No answer. Office closes at 12pm. I called on Monday October 4th and was put on hold for 15 minutes. They obviously forgot I was on hold as I hung up and called back and my call was answered right away. I was told Dr. Dhalla would “likely” call me on Tuesday October 5th. Again, no phone call as I waited all day. I was busy Wednesday morning, the office closed at 12. I called Thursday. Left a message, no call back AGAIN and the same with Friday October 8th. Phone calls RARELY get returned or you’re told they they “didn’t receive your message” Right. Monday October 11 was a holiday. I called again Tuesday and left 2 messages. No call back. I finally had it and called Wednesday October 13, three times in a row until somebody answered my call, finally got ahold of reception and told them I have been trying to reach them for 2.5 weeks, Dr. Dhalla was supposed to have called me twice and I never received any phone call or voice mail. No apologies or anything. I was told that they’d have him call me either Wednesday evening or Thursday afternoon. Today is Thursday October 14th. It is currently 4:24PM. I called the office after their lunch at 1:37pm and told them if I didn’t hear back, I’d call again in an hour. I then called at 2:42 and reached reception. I told them yet again what was happening and that he did not call last night nor did he call this morning. And all I was told was “well, I did tell him to call you” which I then got a little upset and said “listen, it’s almost been THREE WEEKS at this point I have been trying to reach my “doctor” this is the THIRD TIME that this has happened. I NEED MY MEDICATION RENEWED. Please tell him that I’ve been trying to reach him for THREE weeks and that st this point, it is VERY URGENT.” Reception just said “yep, I will”. 2 hours later and no call yet. Office closes tomorrow at 12pm yet again. Please pray for me so that I can speak with the doctor to get my medications as now I am beginning to feel very ill. And please do the right thing for yourself and your family and find a reliable doctor and stop putting money into this careless “man’s” pocket.

Rating an Md and an absolute defamation of character are two totally different things. On any other forum this would not be legal or allowed. In a time when the demands on healthcare are greater than ever, and the constant covid regulations to manage changing daily I believe all offices are doing the best they can. Healthcare is one of the very few who demands and regulations have escalated tremendously. If you truly have an issue the best approach is to deal with the person directly rather than behind a screen. The office may not be perfect, but thank you thank you for showing up everyday and taking care of us!

I am not surprised that I’m not the only one with the exact same complaints regarding Dr. Dhalla. I am a patient of his and have been for about 5 years. Let me start off by saying, DO NOT TAKE HIM AS YOUR FAMILY PHYSICIAN. The ONLY reason I have stayed with him so long is because I rarely ever need to see a doctor, and when I do, 9/10 times it is the new nurse that I am seeing (the brunette nurse) who is very sweet and really actually seems to care about the patients. The blonde nurse is quite ignorant and could use an attitude adjustment. The one secretary st the office, Cecile, is very kind but also seems like this may be her first time as a secretary in a doctors office. There was a different secretary in the last time I went in there (roughly 2 weeks ago) for an appointment for my 4 year old son. She was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Example; I was waiting at the window to check in for my sons appointment. She was on the phone so I stayed a foot or so back and paid attention to my son as to not eavesdrop on her conversation. After nearly 10 minutes, she looked at me and in the rudest voice said “did you need something?” Well clearly that’s why I’m standing at the window, right? She then proceeded to tell me my sons health card was expired and I said “okay.. I’ll get it renewed” and she said “yeeeah you’ll have to do that” then went back to her computer where I said “excuse me? My son still needs his appointment today…” where she rolled her eyes, sighed, came back to the window, normally I wouldn’t be rude but I had to say “yeah, real nice attitude”

Now let’s get to the REAL prize, Dr.Dhalla is one of the most ignorant, incompetent, nastiest, strangest doctors I have ever seen. Like many others, I too wonder how he ever came to be a physician. For some examples; he prescribed me a medication that had raised my blood pressure, it was significantly high, enough to inquire about BP meds at the age of 26. When I talked to him about this he said “I think that’s a terrible idea, you have to think about your life insurance costs” and basically ended the appt. then and there. Because I guess the cost of life insurance is more important than the risk of having a massive heart attack. Secondly, I made an appt. with him to switch my depression meds. When I went into his office, I told him how they completely stopped working, I was beginning to experience more severe depression and anxiety and his analogy was “medications are sometimes like a car, you keep your foot on the gas, the car keeps moving. But once you take your foot off the gas, the car stops.” And I told him wel, the meds HAVE stopped working and I would like something different. I left there that day with no new prescription and a 3 month refill of the meds I had went in to get off of. Lastly, 2 days ago I spoke to him on the phone in regards to getting a new antidepressant. The last ones, I ended up coming off of them myself as he wouldn’t help me and tried dealing with the depression myself which was not tolerable. I told him I would like a new anti depressant. Where he then said “okay let’s put you on trillefex” (or something like that” told me nothing about it, didn’t ask if that was alright, it’s like he just comes up with a name of the medication he knows and throws that at you hoping it will help. He then started actually YELLING at me as I hadn’t updated my new address with the front desk. And I jokingly said, WELL! I’m telling ya about it now! Haha. He came back and said “NO. NO YOURE NOT. YOU CALL BACK IN THE MORNING AND YOU UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS WITH CECILE” Which nearly made me cry as he was yelling and talking to me like dirt. When I researched the medication myself, since he had told me nothing about it, I learned it causes issues with your pancreas and the way it processes insulin and spikes your blood sugar levels. Diabetes runs in my family, which he is totally aware of, so that was an absolute no for me.

I am once again on the search for a new doctor. Hell, even without a PhD, I think I know more about health issues than he does.

I had to write all of this just so even if I can deter even ONE person from going to see this doctor, that will make me feel like I’ve done what I hoped to do.

Also, the comments about having to wait 45mins-2hrs past your scheduled appt. time are completely true. He scheduled a so many people in at once, makes you wait 2 hours while he goes through 20 other appointments, doesnt listen, makes you feel stupid and then sends you on your way. Absolutely terrible doctor who doesn’t care about his patients and is only there for a paycheque.
