Every visit is hours to wait, and listen to everyone in the waiting room with the same complaints.
Staff very rude every visit. Not only to me but to my family that have come to pick up
documents to help me out. This secretary certainly does not like her job.

This week I waited 2 hours and 20 minutes to see Dr. Naqvi. I overheard the receptionist telling another patient that Dr. Naqvi was late to work due to an emergency in the hospital. Keep in mind, this situation occurs every time I have an appointment. As someone who has received care from Dr. Naqvi in the hospital, I understand the importance of having services available to those in crisis. I am not sure however, if Dr. Naqvi and his team are aware of how these long wait times are affecting his patients.
Firstly, I feel like my time is not respected. Yes, I am a person who suffers mental health issues but that does not mean I don’t have a life. Most people simply do not have time to wait 2 hours for an appointment that lasts 5 minutes.
I have missed work and other appointments due to being held up at Dr. Naqvi’s office. But I unfortunately don’t have any other options because I need my medication.

In my experience, the environment at the office is tense and uncomfortable. Receptionists are short and snappy with patients when asked about wait times. I understand that this must be very frustrating for the receptionists to be interrupted from their work by questions that they cannot answer. I’m sure they dread the rest of the day when Dr. Naqvi is late. I have witnessed their attitudes making patients feel defensive and upset. Keep in mind that many people experience anxiety when waiting in a crowded room to talk about their mental health. Waiting for 2 hours for an appointment is extremely difficult and challenging for those who have anxiety. This creates a massive barrier for people seeking treatment.

I see Dr. Naqvi because I am stable and don’t require intensive treatment at this time. He’s a good doctor, but honestly does the bare minimum - and that works for me right now. If you are someone that would feel negativity impacted by the environment at Dr. Naqvi office, or someone who would prefer a psychiatrist who is empathetic and takes his time during appointments, Dr. Naqvi and his team are not for you.

First. His secretary has a real attitude . She almost got me kicked off my benefit plan . She told them three different times she was sending the forms and didn’t . HOWEVER dr naqvi is one smart man ! His job is NOT to listen to your life story, he’s not a social worker ! While you talk, he’s listening and looking for signs and symptoms of a mental illness ! He’s a lot smarter than everyone thinks! His job is to treat those illnesses with medication and he’s not afraid to do so ! Does that mean he’s a pill pusher or he’s actually doing his job ! Instead of telling you they’re addictive and not giving you the medication you actually need ! He’s a boss !

I have been Dr. Naqvi's patient for roughly four years now. He does pay attention to what you say to him and I wouldn't necessarily say he is a pill pusher; afterall, psychiatric care is all about medication so that would be unfairly judging him. He does care about his patient's well being and care, I think he overbooks himself leaving less time for him to concentrate on your issues. He also pays for his patients to see a counselor prior to seeing him. That is kind. Expect to wait for anywhere from one to three hours in the waiting room.

I had a great experience at this clinic. I up until this point had been made by other doctors to feel dismissed and like ‘it was all in my head’. Staff here made me feel heard and understood. I left finally feeling like I had some next steps and had some hope to move forward.

I only saw the doctor for a few minutes but he was kind and listened to his staff who spent the most time with me.

Wait is long but not terrible. I arrived at 1245 (appointment was for 1pm) and was seen by 145, out of the office by 245. From my understanding this is typical for a psychiatrist office.

What a terrible excuse for a doctor. He doesn't listen and just writes prescriptions. How does this fool still have a job? He will ruin your life with pills and not think twice about it. I found help elsewhere.

After being treated by Dr. Naqvi for 8 years, I told him that his current treatment plan was not effective, so we needed to take a different course of action. At this point he raised his voice and began waving his arms around, stating that he didn't like my attitude. I was scared being closed in a room with him yelling and waving his arms at me, so I left for safety. The next day my GP told me Dr. Naqvi had discharged me.

A few months later I had a consultation with a different doctor and neurologist who agreed with me that I needed a different type of medication, based on a different diagnosis. Their first recommendation has been highly effective. I am doing better in the last 6 months with proper medication than I have ever done during my entire life.

After suffering for nearly a decade under Dr. Naqvi's care, only to be abandoned when I stated my needs, I cannot in good conscious recommend him to anyone. In hindsight, I expect I would have done better with no psychiatrist, than with one who continuously prescribed the wrong medication and refused to change his diagnoses.

The only reason I can imagine anyone going to this sorry excuse for a medical practice is because there is no other choice. The reviews say it all. In this case he did no diagnostic work and showed no interest in my symptoms; just took a shot in the dark and started prescribing pills... mounds of them, new ones every time. His staff are drunk with power and treat patients with a disrespect that only speaks to their own lack of professionalism, ethics, class and grace. They don't usually answer their phone and often don't return calls, even in emergencies. I get it: they're busy. NOT AN EXCUSE.

Firstly, his office is like waiting in a holding cell, it’s not very nice at all. I realize his secretary is dealing with a lot of people with mental health issues but she is not very friendly. Dr Navqi was pleasant enough but sat 10 feet away from my daughter and really didn’t seem like he wanted to help her. He did change her medications which unfortunately had horrible side effects. On our second visit, Dr Navqi was taking walk ins as well, people coming in after us were seen before us, after waiting 90 minutes my daughter and I left. We have since seen another psychiatrist who is a much better fit for us. Would not recommend.
