Dr. Atkinson has always been a resourcesful, thorough and prgamatic physician to myself and my entire family. My family and extended family has been seeing Dr. Atkinson for more than 40 years and each of us have experienced nothing but expert knowledge and treatment. Alongside our expert care, we always receive a personal experience that is a true testment to Dr. Atkinson's compassion and dedication to his patient's needs. I fear the day Dr. Atkinson retires, as well as the other members of my family that see him (10 at this time). Couldn't be happier!!!

I had a horrible experience. I called and explained that I needed a Primary Care/GYN doctor and that there was some urgency as I need a refill on my birth control. At my appointment, the doctor waited until he had performed a pelvic exam as well as an anal one (WITHOUT discussing it with me, something I have never experienced at a GYN!). After the exam, he proceeded to tell me a 20-minute story about his religious conversion and how his beliefs prohibit him from providing birth control to unmarried women. He stated that women are more likely to behave "loosely" if they are on birth control, so he chooses not to prescribe it. I spent a total of 2 hours in the office only to leave without the one prescription I needed, and was forced to suffer through his proselytizing, condescending sermon. I will NEVER go there again and highly recommend others avoid it as well.
