8/24/09 had cataract surgery, checked up next day, all great. No Yag laser needed. I haven't seen every ophthalmologist in New York, but no need: I am sure that he's the best. Sure, there is a wait 3-6 months for an appointment, but as the Chinese say, the longest journey starts with a single step. When it's time to get your yearly checkup after cataract surgery, you simply call the hospital (Manhattan Eye and Ear) on January 2nd and make your follow-up appointment for, say, June, or whenever the 12 months are up. If you want a second annual checkup, do the same.

Terrific cataract surgeon. Long wait to get an appointment, which is understandable given his expertise. Cataract surgery was smooth, no yag laser needed.

A gem. Too me 3 months to get an appt for a cataract evaluation but it was worth it. Surgery went smoothly. This doctor specializes in Lasik, cataract surgery, and corneal transplant.
