Dreadful and disrespectful attitude towards all his patients, but especially Senior Citizens. Very evident that he could care less if his patients lived or died. Main concern is Money, Money, Money. Thankfully he is retired and no longer in a position to legally harm others.

Never had a full physical during my 25 years being his patient. Does not like when you show knowledge, especially if got it of the Internet. There have been times when my OHIP card was charged just for seeing him, without being properly treated. Came to him complaining about dizziness & when described few incidents that happened at work, his replied was “Stop working like that!”… His diagnose was “blood pressure sensitive” & off you go, live with it. My symptoms became worse! Being afraid of fainting & injuring myself, I sought help at Quest Community Health Center, where a registered nurse suspected that I might be anemic. Blood test showed low hemoglobin & B12 deficiency. Why would I see a doctor whose knowledge is questionable? Last time I was in the office the secretary turned hostile because I was standing & refused to sit down.

Dr.Keeley is amazing. He takes his time to understand your needs to get you the proper help or medication that you need. He will send you for more tests or to a specialist if he thinks it's required.
He's a very nice man. And a great listener. He saved my life! I owe a lot to him.

I am actually surprised at all the negative comments. Dr. Keeley has been my doctor since about 1988. He has always treated my concerns professionally and promptly.

Dad visited Dr. Keeley June 30/11 with serious back pain. He'd also lost a significant amount of weight since his previous annual physical and his blood pressure, at 178/100 was incredibly high (I didn't realize then how high that was or I would have done something). And yet the follow up was another visit 6 weeks later. After losing progressively more weight and continuing in extreme pain, and weekly doctors visits, I finally called Dr. Keeley and begged him to tell my dad to go to hospital to get an MRI or CT-scan on sept 13 2011. He was diagnosed with lung cancer, liver cancer, bone cancer and kidney cancer that day. He died 8 days later. Those 8 days were horrific - he hallucinated almost the whole time and never believed that he had cancer. Despite being by his bedside, we never really got to say good bye. I have no medical training, I don't know what another doctor would have done, but I wish I'd been able to convince dad to go to the hospital and see a different doctor sooner.

It's time to retire. He's on vacation a half a dozen times per year anyways. Very unknowledgeable. He has to look everything up. This is probably why he hates any of his patients researching anything on the internet.He needs to get with the times. Seems like he just doesn't care and always refers anything you have to third world problems or says "Well, it isn't cancer". Hates referrals. Makes light of any symptoms instead of researching them. As I said, he really should just retire.

I was looking at my new Dr on this Rate.MD and looked up Dr. Keeley. He was great to me when I lived in St. Catharines for 15 yrs. I agree with one of the comments that his biggest asset was Shiela. Where did you go and why? You were the heart and soul of Dr. K's practice. My kids miss you,you gave the best injections.

Alway on vacation. He must take about 5 vacations a year. Never did a full physical durinf my20 years as a patient and when i asked for ine he treated me like i was crazy.

Any negative comment on here is absurd. I've been going to dr. keeley since I was six years old and I am now 29. He's been patient, kind and caring to myself, my sister and both my mom and dad. He's, on many occasions, reached out to my family while we were going through difficult times. As a teenager he advised me to have a pap test and caught moderate dysplasia and had me referred to a Gyn. where I Had a cone biopsy to remove "suspicious" cells. I never feel rushed when I'm there and he always puts any concerns I have to rest. Whoever made the comment that he should retire - try going out and getting another Caucasian doctor with compassion, understanding and knowledge. Who cares if you have to wait - its a doctors office - its part and parcel with the package. It might be you in there one day wanting extra time because of a concern. Good luck with that.
