Dr. James Wright urologist was referred to me by my family doctor who sent me over to consult with Dr. Wright after several reoccurring infections under my prepuce and a tight frenulum that was blocking the urethra opening. After an examination, he also noted balanitis and a tight prepuce. He and I talked about my concerns with circumcision and my options. After carefully reviewing my options, I decided to go for a full circumcision with frenulum removal and urethral opening was widened during my circumcision. He did a fantastic job with the surgery and aftercare.

I went to see Dr. Wright about 5 years ago, complaining of a consistent mild inflammation of the urethra. Five years prior to that, I had had a cystoscopy and was still experiencing this mild inflammation. Dr. Wright suggested I have another cystoscopy, so I followed his advice and proceeded to have this procedure done again. Not only did this not solve the problem of the inflammation of the urethra, but it caused a significantly greater amount of inflammation, which eventually led to chronic cystitis. I went to see him several times after this procedure and he had nothing to say that was of much use to me. Finally, he said he would have to perform another cystoscopy (what???). Following this doctor's advice was one of the worst mistakes of my life. The quality of my life has been significantly decreased.. sleepless nights, very limited diet, etc. If only I had known.. I would never have followed this doctor's bad advice...

Dr Wright is an outstanding doctor, he has treated me for 30 years and I have found him to be be one of the best doctors I have ever been in the care of, if he wasn't, I would have changed doctors long ago!

This Dr is very good! He caught my husbands testicular cancer quickly. Very sweet and great bedside manner. Kept coming by and letting me know things would be okay. Felt really nice that he is so caring!

Dr. Jamie Wright is an arrogant physician with a "God complex". When in my early twenties, Dr. Jamie Wright made a serious error in diagnosing a major internal bleed from my bladder. Failing to do an internal bladder examination to determine the cause, Dr. Wright's treatment was solely to write a prescription to stop the excessive bleeding - and further, offered no remedy for the pain ??? (i.e. failing to identify what was causing the pain and bleeding). Taking the prescribed medication, I continued to hemorrhage and experienced nasty pain. During my follow-up with Dr. Wright, he arrogantly responded, "If you continue to complain about your pain and bleeding, I will order a total hysterectomy" ??? Needless to say, I changed Urologists - immediately! This Urologist lacks the ethics and acumen to provide proper care for people - particularly those who are young and/or perceived as vulnerable.

I was under his care for about two years, which included major surgery. Very rude and poor bedside manners. Showed little to no compassion, and the procedures he tried ended up causing more scar tissue. He was very impatient when he was explaining things, to the point that I had enough of him and got refered to a different doctor. I am glad he s retired- maybe he has been working too hard, hence the grumpyness!

29 Years ago I was rushed to Emergency with a bleeding kidney...I was 18. Dr. Wright was right in there making sure I was fully taken care of and even assigned a nurse to watch me through the night. He was not very friendly and when I asked a nurse about this, she whispered that he is not always friendly but he is the best in the city and that I was very lucky to have him. Enough said!!! Cheers to Dr. Wright!

Jamie Wright is the kind of doctor you pay extra for in the States. He took over a half an hour to discuss a simple urinary infection, going into great detail on how all the cells work together in unison, touching on embryology and how the different organ systems are so inter-related etc. Gave me very detailed instructions, including diet, yet put the burden on me to carry through, which is how it should be. An amazing doctor, and, being an American, I was shocked at how in-depth the exam was and how long he spoke with me. I figured that it would be a typical cursory HMO-type visit, and it was anything but. I highly recommend Dr.Wright. Great bedside manner and answers all questions you ask him.

I was a prostate cancer surgery patient(2002)of Dr. Wright until 2007, when his office closed. I had no notice, and no referral to another urologist. Has he officially retired ?, has another urologist taken over his patient list ?

This doctor had a 3-way phone consultation with my GP and rheumatologist about a possibly cancerous tumour in my kidney. He said he would take me as a patient. He was sent blood test results and an ultrasound report but did nothing about them. I waited 4 weeks to hear about any treatment plan only to learn finally that he does not remember having the initial consultation with my other doctors! This man is obviously having memory problems which may make him an unsafe practitioner. He does need to retire.
