I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO TO DR.Lawhon OFFICE. THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM!!!! JAN 30/2023 I had a consultation which I paid $162. My procedure for my extraction was scheduled for 2/20 which as time got closer my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled to the first week of March. FIRST RED FLAG (me not thinking being understanding that things do happen.) A day before my surgery in March
I get a phone call saying we’re going to have to reschedule you because Dr.Lawhon granddaughter had to be rushed to the EMD. ( me being understanding again) but I was frustrated because I already had arrangements for everything and they canceled on me last minute and stated that they would contact me when they knew more and have open availability I said ok. Weeks pass NO PHONE CALL NO NOTHING. I contact them and advise them on how my appointment was canceled and that nobody ever reached back out to me to reschedule my appointment she then apologizes and gets me scheduled which then at this time we were scheduled for MAY of 2023. As time gets closer for that appointment it’s 8:00pm and I get a text messages from one of the nurses “hey we have to cancel you appointment Dr.Lawhon granddaughter had to be rushed to the EMD” they same STORY ONCE AGAIN! Appointment cancelled at last minute ONCE AGAIN. So at this point I’m annoyed because I’m really needing my extraction due to a cyst and I’m getting the run around. After that final time NOBODY reached out to me again to reschedule me so I HAD TO call in and figure out when can I be seen etc. Dr.LAWHON office stated that I had to pay ANOTHER $162 on top of the $162 I already paid plus another $122 because of THEIR 90 DAY POLICY but why should I have to come out my pocket and pay something again when YOU ALL CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS NOT ME! THEN one of the nurses stated that Dr.Lawhon said “Well she can find somebody else to do it and I’ll gladly send over the X-rays “ and it is beyond sad the lack of care they have for people! It seems like everything is about MONEY! Verses a patient health and well being! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO ATTEND THEM BECAUSE YOURE MOST LIKELY GOING TO GET THE RUN AROUND. WHEN YOU GO FOR A CONSULTATION ITS always people WAITING about TWO HOURS AT THE MOST(I was one of them.) they’re always overbooked & packed obviously and taking on more then what they can handle! DO NOT RECOMMEND RUN AWAY! SCAMM SCAMMMM SCAMMM SCAMMMM SCAMMMM i wonder how many other people have they done this to?????

Dr Lawhon is the absolute best. I hurt all weekend and when I saw him for a first visit he actually stayed late to take my tooth out. The cares about me and didn’t want me to get worse or end up in the hospital. He’s a class act and did a great job. Also thanks to his staff for staying late.

Seen him before and just last week again. He's very knowledgeable and always explains things. Very little pain after extraction. It was over before I knew it.

Exceptionally helpful insurance clerk. Dr. Lawhon was very nice and very knowledgeable. He did my surgery the same day as a courtesy because I was dying in pain. I had to wait my turn but it was worth it. highly recommend

The front office staff needs training in customer service. They said I am asking them to bend over backwards and jump through hoops because I asked for common courtesy after front office staff was very rude.

Karen and Ken exist in every form and fashion. Any idiot know that if you have insurance you get an EOB, explanation of benefits, anytime you get something done at a doctors office. Be very careful how you slander a doctor. You are really an idiot because any doctor has to file a claim for you to get your money back. The reason you pay upfront is because your insurance company wont pay doctors.

Dr. Lawhon is the best dentist I've ever been to. If you need dental work please make an appointment with Dr. Lawhon I promise you'll never go to any other dentist. He's the BEST!

I called everyone and no other oral surgeon took or filed insurance. I asked my insurance company why and they told me that it was complicated when filing medical and dental codes together like oral surgeons do. They actually told me Lawhon was the only one. I went for the appointment and he was a nice guy but hi wanted to know about insurance. I have to say it is complicated and I see why oral surgeon do take it. But the insurance girl walked me thru it. She also told me that any and all refunds could not be processed by her until the insurance company processed and sent them their payment. I big thing I didn't know is I get the insurance paperwork first and two weeks later the doctor office gets their paperwork. Stupid but that's insurance companies for you. I purposely waited to see if all this was true before doing this review. Well the girl was dead on it. Everything she said was true. I read these other insurance comments and i dont believe them. The one thing the girl said was the doctor can't make my insurance company pay more and she's right. That scrap about keeping insurance refunds....if that really happen the police would be involved so I call BS on that one. I just appreciate the doctor dealing with the aggravating insurance company. Thanks

If I could leave 0 star I would. Office staff useless. I am conversation they are keeping insurance company payments that are overpaid by insurance company. It's a long story but please find another oral surgeon. Took me 3 + months to get my money they owed me. I had to threaten getting an attorney to get my check. My sister having same problem
