happened a few years ago. I told her “i think i have a cold” and she said extremely rudely “how do you know?! are you a doctor?”

she was always rude and not welcoming. She seemed like seeing patients was a chore & only doing the bare minimum for the pay cheque.
if i could rate her 0 i would. I always dreaded going to see her, but it was hard finding a new family doctor.

I used to be a patient of Dr. Ho and she doesn't care about her patients. She only cares about money. She should be ashamed of herself as a doctor.

During my last 2 visits, she refused to shut the door and proceeded to talk about my medical history and current issues for everyone in the office to hear.

No visit last longer than 10mins because it’s 1 issue a visit and she either prescribed a quick fix (scan, bloodwork, xray) or a referral (sometimes taking up to 18months to see another doctor). By the time any of that stuff comes around, I’ve been living with the issue for far longer than I need to. If I don’t drop everything at once and stop my life to get all the medical exams she wants me to get done, she looks at me like I’m an idiot and don’t care about my health.

I don’t get straight answers/ diagnosis/ prognosis from her ever. And she’s outright told me vehemently that she will absolutely refuse to see/ treat me if I get covid.

Like many other has said, she is not personable, she is blunt, emotionless, gives off a vibe that she doesn’t care or that you’re an inconvenience to her, that seeing patients is a chore. She not like a doctor that cares only about the medical stuff & not care about your feelings. She doesn’t seem to care at all.

I’ve been wanting to switch doctors for a while now, and only go to see her when I absolutely have to.

Dr Ho is the WORSE doctor (or professional) I have met in my entire life. She should never be qualified to be a doctor in the first place and she should be shameful that she called herself a doctor.
She does not have any empathy on my aging parents and myself. Her rudeness is showcased as soon as you entered into her room. Ever since COVID, she was so afraid that she will be infected and treated all of her patients as if they were all infected. She talks so softly that you can barely hear here and YET she expected you to hear every single word that she said.
I have never felt this disrespected by anyone I have met. If you don't have a family doctor, do not even go to her! She will definitely make you more sick after visiting her. If I could select a zero rating, I would.
I am seeking ways to file a complaint to the Board on her behaviour to her patients. Never going back to her again.

Terrible experience in the universal, she is the worst & can't find another more worse than her. Rude & no respect to her patients.

She doesn't care about her patients. She doesn't want to answer any questions and concerns from her patients. It was really an unpleasant experience.

Wish there was a ‘zero’ option.
She has extremely negative energy, something is definitely off. I am no longer her patient. I am currently seeking therapy, due to an incident that occurred in a appointment with her that has caused me extreme personal trauma.

I am fine with having a socially and emotionally illiterate physician however her attitude goes beyond it. She expresses frustration in every sentence. She explains things as if the informer is a burden if she explains at all. Your questions are always stupid to her and unwelcomed. She does not explain complicated medical terms but she will explain simple things that an average person understands in a condescending tone.

Everyone has bad days. However, many patients express discontent with her attitude. Does she do due diligence? Yes, in my opinion. Can one argue that being under her care is better than none at all? Yes, she does the job. But compliance is her only checkbox. The ends do not justify the means. Over the years, I have chosen to not go to her unless absolutely necessary. It is not uncommon for me to suppress my symptoms and discomfort because I did not want to go. After every visit here, I would find myself feeling negative and blaming myself for being sick. I resort to walk-ins.

I have heard many horror stories from patients of hers such as being asked to pick trash back up in the bin, being annoyed at an elderly patient for moving too slowly, ignoring questions entirely, only being friendly to patients who work in healthcare or attractive people, telling a patient to walk back to the front desk to book another appointment for another issue so she can get ohip again, and only exhibiting characteristics of a socially acceptable person sometimes. Being straightforward and blunt can be seen as good to some people. But the average patient cannot differentiate between incompetence and arrogance. Soft skills are important.

SIt shows a low fidelity to public needs on her part. Is ignoring questions not negligence? None of these anecdotal concerns may fall under misconduct, but I believe even an informal complaint would be valid under the breach of some sort of code of ethics? A competent doctor would probably realize that exhibiting civilized behaviour is needed to defend themselves from being accused of not demonstrating high standards of integrity.

I will not be coming back. I really do not understand why people should be treated with a persistent tone of intimidation. It is unfortunate because I do not think she wants this to be her intent. I always feel sad when someone’s interest is lost in their career. Maybe diminishing performance is inevitable from serving public health for too long. But I can longer subject myself to negativity from a person with so much influence over my health. To the extent of my knowledge, I was receiving proper medical care from her. However, I expect at least a level of decency from any professional practitioner. Compliance is her only checkbox. She has not demonstrated any implicit bias when practicing but her poor attitude does not help if it is misconstrued for some type of unconscious bias towards a certain type of patient. I hope she gets the help or the support or whatever she needs. Because her behaviour is disadvantageous to both parties.

One of the receptionists is kind of rude but that is to be expected.

Poor communications. When they closed for a longer period of time, there was no explanations or alternate arrangement. Odd high frequency of check up's, especially for elderly. Milking the government ?? A bit of attitude towards old folks.
