Tom is a great doctor. I’ve seen him for a few years now as an older patient because I had some severe allergy issues a few years ago and need to monitor them. His staff is friendly and the appointments have always been punctual, and the course of treatments I am on have improved my health a lot.

Receptionists are horrible. So rude, snotty and unhelpful. I would think when you are working with children you would have a little personality

The receptionist is not the doctor. My daughter is having allergy problems times 2 months. Dr Gerstner is her doctor. Why is the receptionist telling me to call back in a weeks time. So I called back asking to speak with the physician , she said no , Then wants a history of the problem , then wants to know when we were last seen, are we patients of the doctor. Like really very unprofessional and not doing her job in the best interest of the patient. Finally am waiting for the doctors nurse to contact me:

He addresses the parent that does not ask questions, does very little to address other parent concerns

Excellent Doctor, seen us before appointment time, professional, friendly, spoke to my 8 year old and directly included him in conversation. I was very impressed and would recommend. Nurses were great in this office, friendly and efficient. Thanks so much

Friendly doctor... for the 30 seconds I saw him. We waited over 2 hours for an appointment that should have taken 1/2 an hour. Would have liked to have talked with him a little longer than 30 seconds...

Dr tom was very helpful and listened to me when most Drs wouldn't. I had to go to 2 Dr who looked at me like i was an overreacting mom my son has an aphylactic allergy but they didnt care to send me to confim with an allergist dispite having had severe reaction and being rushed to ER. Had to go to nurse practitioner to finally get a referal and I'm happy I did as she sent us to DR Tom. He was wonderful, didn't rush and listened to everything I had to say and was concerned about. Very happy with him.

Dr Gerstner was professional and kind. As a nurse and mother I would highly recommend him. My child's condition has improved greatly since being treated my Dr. Gerstner.

I have no clue why it is so difficult to get the front desk to answer their phones and why they have such select office hours when there is a demand for allergists Manitoba-wide. Other than that the allergist is very good at taking care of my son, it just bothers me we have to travel 8 hours from the North to see the allergist. It is quite inconvenient and a feat as well financially.

My son (A) has been so much better since we've started seeing dr Tom. He's very patient w A, ever since he was 1yr old. And has been very helpful answering all our questions. I highly recommend him! I am picky w drs. :)
