Dr. Kurtulus preformed a myomectomy on me to remove several uterine fibroids. He is a fantastic doctor and surgeon. He explained everything to me before the surgery and was able to remove all the fibroids, including a rather large one, with minimal scaring. I wholeheartedly trust him and would most definitely recommend him.

Dr Mel is a wonderful doctor. He has delivered all 4 of my children. His dedication really makes him stand out from other doctors in the field. I would recommend him to anyone.

Worst doctor ever! He's after money and is indifferent about everything. Had to have him with my first pregnancy two years ago, wish I hadn't! He conducted 2 ultrasounds per week in the last 3 weeks which were unnecessary and wanted to induce me during the week since he was going to be away the weekend I was going to be full term on! Thank God I decided not to be induced and had an amazing delivery with the MD on call that night! He is so careless that he asked how my stitches are from the c section although I had given natural birth! I dont even want to get started on his assistant, the most unprofessional staff I've met in my life who said so many bad things about Mel behind his back. Run away from this office if you can!!!!

Dr. Mel, is a amazing doctor! He has performed two surgeries on me, both very successful with easy recoveries. In 2009, he performed surgery because I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was devastated! Dr. Mel was so compassionate, and understanding regarding my disappointment over losing a much wanted pregnancy. He has a warm and gentle bedside manner, and genuinely cares about his patients. In 2015, I had to have another unrelated surgery. Again, Dr Mel was warm, genuine and compassionate. His office staff is wonderful, and make patients feel like family. The office is beautifully decorated, inviting and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Kurtulusd his staff.

Thanks to Dr. Kurtulus and his staff, we were able to have a dream come true - the birth of our baby girl! I started seeing Dr. Kurtulus a few years ago because I had some medical conditions that required multiple surgeries. His focus on minimally invasive procedures ensured that I had swift and safe recoveries with little-to-no complications. At one point we had considered finding a doctor closer to where we live, but I chose to stay with Dr. Kurtulus because I trusted him, felt that he was an exceptional surgeon, and appreciated his professionalism.

I had a very difficult pregnancy and he and his staff were always attentive and supportive. When it came time to deliver, I had a scheduled C-section. The entire delivery process went as smooth as can be expected and my scar is barely noticeable. What really made a difference for me was when it was time for the anesthesiologist to administer the spinal epidural, Dr. Kurtulus held my hand, rubbing it gently while speaking softly. This was very comforting and helped set the tone for the whole procedure. He and his staff are always professional, calm and reassuring. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

He delivered my beautiful baby. From appointments to delivery Dr. Kurtulus was very kind and knowledgeable. I had a quick and pain-free delivery and I truly believe it was because of Dr. Kurtulus. I am so lucky to have found him, he gave me the best labor and delivery experience I could have hoped for. I felt less pain than a dental check up (seriously!!!), and even with a 2nd degree episiotomy I didn't need any pain medication for recovery. He also did my son's circumcision and the nurse said it was the best circumcision she has seen. I can't say enough great things!

Did not have a good experience with this doctor at all. Switched to a new Dr. after he delivered my first child. Poor communications skills. Made me feel like I was just a number not a woman about to have a baby. He even called me by the wrong name multiple times. Wouldn't recommend this Dr. at all.

I needed to have surgery to remove endometriosis which was causing me a lot of pain. I went to 2 other doctors before I found Dr. Kurtulus. I just did not feel comfortable with the other doctors and I am so glad now that I kept searching! After meeting Dr. Kurtulus, I felt confident that I could entrust him with my surgery. The robotic surgery he offers has the benefits of a shorter hospital stay, less pain, and faster recovery time. I went home the day of my surgery with minimal pain. In 1 week I was back to doing normal activities and in 2 weeks I felt better than I had in years! Dr. Kurtulus' bedside manner was wonderful. He was so kind and reassuring prior to my surgery. I was so impressed with him and the entire surgical team. From my first consult Dr. Kurtulus has been thorough, attentive, knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. He never rushes through an appointment, he listens and explains well. His office is calm, organized and well-run. I highly recommend Dr. Kurtulus!

I cannot say how much I apreciate this doctor. He followed me during my pregnancy and delivered our son yesterday. I can tell you, for me he's the best OBGYN you'll find in all San Diego area. I had absolutly no pain, from the beginin of the labor untill the baby was delivered, it is just unbelievable! I was prepaired to have strong contractions because I was induced at 40 weeks with Pitocin, but I feeled no pain at all. Many thanks to this doctor and to all his team, there are all brilliant!

I had over ten uterine fibroid tumors on my uterus measuring between 2 cm and 10 cm, many of upwards of 7 to 10 cm in size. I am still in the childbearing years of my life so the number and size of these tumors threatened my potential fertility. I also did not want a large scar and the potential postoperative complications of an open procedure. Kurtulus was very sympathetic and thorough and his workup was quick and efficient. On the day of my procedure he was able to remove all of my tumors robotically leaving five tiny scars and my uterus intact. My recovery time was amazingly quick. Dr. Kurtulus is our go to doctor for Obstetrics and Gynecology. There are so very few doctors in this country who go to such great extents to perform uterine sparing procedures and in such a minimally invasive way.
