She was my obgyn at Cedars, she was always rushing through the exam, poor bedside manner and when we found complications with my pregnancy, she said to my husband and I " well if the baby falls out, at least we know you can get pregnant and have another one". Pretty disgusting statement! I switched obgyns immediately!

Dr. Monica Lee was my OB GYN at Cedar Sinai for about 6yrs. We instantly clicked as doctor/patient. She would always run any test she the I needed just to be sure there were no blurred lines. In times when my insurance coverage was sketchy she gave me bags of samples and refills for any medicines I might need. In 2010 I had to have a myomectomy for my fibroids and Dr. Lee was there every step of the way. Even all of the years after my surgery her warmth, care, personable manner always felt great when talking about things that were awkward or tough to discuss including whether I can still bear children. Unfortunately, this past summer Dr. Lee parted ways with Cedar's and I struggle to find another doctor who can fill her shoes. I feel lost without her as my OB/GYN and truthfully I'm still in a little bit of denial that's she's moved on. I would change medical groups in a heartbeat if it meant that she could be my doc again. Women's gynelogical issues and child bearing issues are so personal and when there's a clinician such as Dr. Lee you really treasure and value her knowledge, skills, and genuine care and concern. If you ever in limbo and/or trying to decide on a doctor trust me when I say she is the best of the best. If you read this and she's your doctor, please tell her Elan thinks the very best of her and if ever one day God so blesses me with a baby it's only because he sent me an angel named Dr. Monica Lee.

Very poor bedside manner.

Due to changes in my insurance Dr. Lee is no longer my OBGYN but I still wanted to sing her praises. She was my OB for about 7 years and while she did not deliver my baby, she got me to the finish line. I know many people have said she is "cold" in their reviews. I have to say, I'd never felt that way. She is extremely professional, clear and above all honest. She certainly doesn't sugar-coat things but that doesn't mean she isn't kind. She also has a great sense of humor! Would definitely recommend and wish I was still able to see her!

My wife has gone with Dr. Monica Lee for both her pregnancies. She has been spectacular for both. On the first one we sort of stumbled upon her as she was on duty but my wife had not seen her before. Even though she may be a bit on the cold side, in reality she is a really nice person and my wife felt very comfortable with her. My wife does not speak much English and they communicated great in spanish (some of my help was needed). We immediately went with her for the second pregnancy and she answered ALL of our questions and was very kind to us. She made my wife comfortable and advised what to do to minimize complications during labor. We are very greatful that Dr. Lee.

Very bad experience. She was rude, abrupt and did not pay attention. Did not do a good exam. Did not address concerns and only gave bad news. Staff ignored patients. Both doctor and staff are indifferent to everything but their personal problems.

I love Dr. Lee! I saw several doctors in the office and once I saw her I made sure all my visits were with her. She'll take her time with you. The thing I appreciate the most is that I feel I could TRUST her. If I ask a question, she will give an HONEST answer - not just brush you off or sugarcoat things. I saw her for my first pregnancy and was overweight. She always treated me with kindness and respect and gave me great medical care. In this practice the doctors rotate days in the hospital. When I went into labor it happened to be her day. I was so relieved! Our baby went into distress. She let me labor as long as was safe to try and avoid a c-section (my wishes) and when it was time took me in for an emergency c-section. There were some complications but baby and I are now home, happy and healthy. If I have another child, I will go to Dr. Lee! In the end these describe her: Caring, responsible, respectful, knowledgeable, trustworthy, effective, I HIGHLY recommend her!
