I have seen Dr. Sweeney for years on and off and the majority of times he has been compassionate and was correct in his diagnosis.

I have been visiting Dr. Sweeney for the last 5 years, and I have had nothing short of a great relationship with him. He is the only Dr. that has ever given me their cell # as well as their personal Hospital Pager #.. He visited me in the Hospital when He found out by my wife that I was having surgery.. Everyone has a bad experience every now and then, so please do not judge Dr.'s or people, for that matter, on just a couple of visits. Dr.'s do not have all of the answers, that's why they call it practicing medicine.. Ted Starnes.. Monroe NC

This doctor took over after previous doctor moved. He dismissed all previous diagnosis by multiple doctors after very brief exam. Told me to call when I needed refills of medications. When I did, he refused to perscribe, saying he was not comfortable perscribing these medications, without offering any alternative treatment or medications. None of the meds are narcotic. After I ask for a referral back to pain management (where I had been seen previously) he terminated me from the practice--seeing any of their doctors, however, did not inform me of this. I only found out when I had an appointment with the P.A. cancelled. Very arrogant, unprofessional behavior. After speaking to pain management doctors, was told there was no reason for him to have a problem with the medications I was on. They are commonly perscribed by primary care as I am not on any risky or narcotic meds.
