Ratings for Dr. Simon Warner
I have been his patient for 30 years now. I have had 2 detached retinas, macular degeneration, and have had both lenses replaced by Dr Warner. After wearing glasses up until I was 40 I now have 20/20 vision and no glasses. Can it get any better! Highly recommended. My wife goes to him now as well and thinks he is first rate.

No help at all with my eye problem. Told me to try all the different eye drops in the drugstore until I find one that works. Not even helpful for what might be a serious eye condition. Treated me like I was crazy.

Worst Doctor and person. Avoid him because he will make your day worse. After his mistake he will tell you not to come for a year because he doesn’t know what wrong with your eyes. Avoid this man because is much more better ophthalmologist in Vancouver.

Honestly, this clown of a person does not deserve even a single star. Either he has a bipolar disorder, or the little act he put up is somehow able to fool some of his patients.
Simon is the most rude, aggressive and incompetent quackjob I've ever seen, and I've seen more than my fair share of doctors.
When asked for his diagnosis on my elderly mother's eyes, his only reply through the entire consultation was "You tell me. Those are your eyes. You know best."
I mean are you freaking serious? 3 months of waiting for the appointment, 2 hours in the waiting room, 30 minutes of tests, just to have the "specialist" tell us "hey, you can diagnose yourself!" and shoo us out the door in 2 minutes.
Spent most of his consultation trying to chase us out the door as soon as possible. When asked for further clarification, he would just raise his voice and regurgitate the same "You know best, I'm not here to tell you what to do".
Why are you even here then Simon? Just to pocket taxpayers' money and do jack all to help your patients?

I have been a patient of Dr. Warner for more than 30 years after he took over his Dad's practice. He is patient, kind, funny, thorough and caring (a rare combination in a doctor). I consider myself very fortunate to have him as my ophthalmologist. When I had a bad inflammatory reaction a year ago that spread to my face and my eyes, he personally called Emergency at VGH to ensure that I would be admitted promptly. Care and service above and beyond. Thank you, Dr. Warner!

incredibly condescending and inept. didn't want to address ophthalmological problems but talked about other, irrelevant, random things. i left feeling incredibly confused, unsupported, and my illness remains unaddressed.

Dr. Warner often changes his mood, sometimes he tries to be pleasant and mostly he is very aggressive and rude. His knowledge is very bad, he makes a lot of mistakes and his behavior is very bad towards patients. He doesn't like to give prescriptions for glasses, but sends you to the dollar store until you guess what suits you. Don't waste time visiting this doctor.

Best ophthalmologist I’ve ever been too in 40 years.
Fixed me up with RoseK lens originally, a serious life changer.
Now he has switched me too Scleral lens and I’ve never been more comfortable or seen better.
Barb is the best contact lens fitter I ever been to in 40 years as well.
You cannot do any better on the west coast, period.

Dr Warner is a superb, caring doctor, who explains in detail any procedure that needs to be done. We have been patients for many years, and always appreciate his concern and expertise.
Receptionist not courteous, almost offhand and rude. .

Doctor Warner has great patience and understanding , he explained to me my condition and what could be done to improve my situation so that I am not so frustrated because of my poor vision.
