Dr. Austin set my fractured femur, and misalligned my leg. This resulted in a second surgery by another orthopdedic surgeon. My femur had to be cut in half and reset into proper allignment.I still experience pain in my hip and knee and need a cane to assist me walking. Dr. Austin refused to acknowledged any error or responsibility, he simply suggested physical therapy which obviously did not work as I needed a second surgery. A few month later he relocated to Texas.

I had never broken a bone until 2011 so this was my first (and hopefully only) orthopaedic experience. Dr. Austin was very upfront and seemed confident in his knowledge. He is very matter of fact and gives you as many options as he can. Foot has healed perfectly and just as he expected. I have since taken my teenaged son to him for orthro. surgery on his knee and again had a great experience. Would highly recommend!

My Mother had two knee and one hip replacements with Dr. Austin, my daughter had her broken arm fixed, and my son had an issue with his hip and Dr. Austin treated us all very well. He is an excellent surgeon wit a no nonsense style. No, he's not touchy-feely but he is friendly and respectful. We love him and so do the nurses, hospitals, and rehab centers!

His staff sent me the first bill more than a year after the visit, and then tried to tell me it was more than 120 days overdue. If want the staff to treat you respectfully, professionally, and bill you in a timely manner, go elsewhere.

His manner was rude and abrupt. He did not offer any treatment options to me other then to learn to live with it. He seemed to take offense because I was overweight and dismissed my pain as something I would have to deal with untill I lost the weight. I turned to a differant Dr. in my area and was given a cuople of options and was able to find relief.
