Dr Duncan Q McBride was my Neurosurgeon who performed a lumbar surgery that finally stopped the constant shooting nerve pain down both of my legs. His knowledge, experience & willingness to help, when others shied or turned away, has me walking today. He is the best spinal Neurosurgeon you will ever have the pleasure to meet & if you require surgery, rest assured he is the one! He was the Professor and Chief Neurosurgeon at UCLAhealth & is now Chief of Neurosugery at UCLA Harbor/ Lindquist Institute

CONCEDED, ARROGANT, KNOW IT ALL!!! Dr. Mcbride has a huge complex. He thinks that he is better than anyone. He doesn't listen to your concerns and pain. He thinks he is Mr. Know It ALL and loves to bash other doctors and surgeon. He told me straight out that my doctor who did my neck surgery was scum (even though I wasn't there for my neck, which I have done amazingly well and have absolutely no pain). I was sent to him by my attorney for my low back when I was in a car accident. I didn't like Dr. Mcbride's approach nor his charlatan demeanor. I think both him and my attorney are sc**bags and in it for the money. Insurance companies need to investigate these sort of PI doctors.

Dr. McBride knew that my spine fusion surgery had failed three weeks after the operation. But he, nor anyone else at UCLA ever told me. I had to find out by going to another doctor. Dr. McBride saw the MRI images that were taken three weeks after the operation. Those images show my spine completely distorted and in far worse condition than before the operation. I tried to get those MRI images when I lost faith in Dr. McBride and wanted to consult other doctors. UCLA told me that those images didn't exist and they did not provide them. I did finally get the images but it took numerous letters and phone calls to both the hospital and the doctor's office. You can imagine my anger when I saw what Dr. McBride saw and never discussed with me. You can read my full story at http://UCLAPatientCare.com. The things I went through will blow your mind!

If I could give Dr. McBride a million stars I would. I spent most of the year in chronic pain and mostly bedridden. I went from doctor to doctor, desperately looking for help and none of them were able to help me. Until I met Dr. Mcbride. He performed a minimally invasive procedure on my back at the end of July. I walked out of the hospital the same day, and now, three months later, I am able to do everything I could do before. Zero pain and a huge amount of gratitude to him. I cannot enthuse enough on how remarkable he and his team were. A special mention to Camille who treated each of my calls as if I were his only patient.

Had surgery there in January 2017, the surgeon cut an artery in error and cut my voice box, my voice is still messed up one year later. It was supposed to be simple surgery that almost killed me and the surgeons explanation was "sh*t happens". Beware of surgeons telling you it is simple surgery because it is not it can change your life forever with no recourse. I am still paying out of pocket for medical expenses that was caused by this surgery. I have difficulty breathing and talking I have memory loss but it is impossible to sue for negligence because I signed so many papers prior to my surgery. Once you have the surgery your on your own with no support or care from UCLA. Beware fore warned is for armed. Your health is your wealth. Ended up going to USC for additional surgery so I can at least talk in order to work.

Where would I have been, if I hadn't sought out the highly knowledgeable and experienced surgical background of Dr. McBride ? After injuring my cervical spine in May of 2018, I was told by several respected neurosurgeons in L.A., that my C/S was deformed and I seriously needed a spinal fusion at five levels. C-3 to T-1 to be exact. It was a scary and daunting amount of reality to digest. They were all respected doctors in the field of spinal surgeries, but, none of them gave my husband and I a great enough feeling of confidence in their experience to have them perform this serious surgery. Finally, I chose to see Dr. McBride in Aug. of 2018. By that time, my neurological symptoms from my spinal pressure were getting worse by the week, it seemed. My walk was bad; numbing, burning, heaviness in my arms, torso and legs and more. Within minutes of our introduction, I sensed he was the most confident and experienced of any of the doctors I had met at taking on these larger C/S fusion surgeries. He allowed me to share my concerns with him first, then he got right down to business by reviewing my MRI with my husband and I, and gave us a definitive plan of what he intended to do to correct my injured spine. I had spasticity bad that day, but, within that thirty minutes of our meeting, I knew I would sleep a lot better that night knowing that I'd found the right surgeon. My surgery was in Oct. of 2018. Since surgery, my walk has become normal, no more heavy torso, and, my arms and hands have steadily been improving since almost ten months ago. I have no pain. I think the most wonderful change for me is
that, that debilitating spasticity, (your muscles tightening down like shrink wrap), is basically gone.
Dr. McBride has helped me immensely.
Thank you Dr. M.

Dr. McBride is an amazing surgeon. I had a pinched nerve in my lower back. I tried to avoid surgery but when that did not work, I had great trust and confidence in Dr. McBride as he comes highly recommended. Dr took his time to talk to me and explain the procedure and we agree to proceed. The procedure went without a hitch. I am now pain free. I was at level 10 pain for two months prior to the procedure. Not only was the surgery a success but the recovery time was very fast. I was at work the next day. Maybe not true for every patient but true in my case. I credit that to Dr. McBrides surgical skills. I am all healed up with a minor scar and NO MORE PAIN.

I know a lot of people are afraid of surgery and it is the last resort but I highly recommend Dr. McBride if it turns out you do need surgery. I would recommend him to any one of my family. In fact I would insist they utilize his talents if they ever needed them.

Thanks Doc,

Aram
