She misdiagnosed planters warts on me…….and now I’m getting over cancer cause she misdiagnosed something else, I wouldn’t get food from McDonald’s if she was working there! I’m on serious meds, in a lot of pain so if this offends someone…..that’s my excuse! As for “Dr” Deaton I hope you see this.

Went to see this medical professional a few years ago. As part of this Health Team, you do not get to choose your doctor when you call for an appointment. She was not my family doctor. She was dismissive and acted like I was wasting her time. Refused to refer me to a specialist. I managed to see a specialist through a friend who happened to know one and pulled a favour. The specialist was not impressed with her refusal to refer me. He prescribed me something and my health concern resolved.

I always felt I was a burden to her. Everything that I mentioned to her was disregarded in a rude way. I decided to seek a new doctor, although it took time to find a new one. Best decision was to leave Dr.Shoshanah and the Rockland clinic

I was a patient of Dr Deaton for a few years and wasn't a big help. Every time I had an issue, I would go see her and the only thing she would tell me is I have this issue because I'm overweight or that I needed to lose weight and my problem would be solved. She would be very judgmental, never would refer me to a specialist and would hardly listen to my concerns. She would prescribe medication for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I always felt rushed and like it was an inconvenience for her to see me.

I've been with Dr.D most of my life and have just recently realized how dismissive I've felt she's been towards my feelings and my concerns. Dr. D has continued to switch my medications without actually informing me of what the medication is/side effects/more information... the pharmacists have now expressed concern about this. Now that I'm pregnant I cannot begin to describe my frustrations with her "guessing" my due date even after having sent over my first ultrasound.. where they told me my correct due date- in which I had to correct doctor d. Even previously to the ultrasound when telling her I felt her guess was wrong, she dismissed me. Giving/prescribing medications to a pregnant woman without explaining info, misconceptions, and even side effects..... not happy.
