Dr. Z. was not a doctor with a lot of words but he was a doctor saving lives; he was extremely competent and extremely caring. He delivered both my children via c-section a dozen years ago. When my 2nd child was born, there was complication at the end; I encountered hemorrhage during the delivery and Dr. Z. saved my life. Due to my condition, I stayed a few extra days at the hospital; when I puzzled to find Dr. Z in my room on a Saturday, he explained it casually, "I was here to see a friend." I was very moved. Dr. Z passed away in 2016 and my new doctors were his students and colleagues and all spoke very, very highly of this wonderful, caring doctor.

I will be short and sweet. My child would not be here without him.

His negligence put me at extreme risk. I am so lucky my son is here today despite his cavalier attitude and ultimate emergency C section. The worst.

He is a great and knowledgeable doctor. He has been my doctor in my two pregnancies and I couldn't be happier. Both of my pregnancies were high risk , and thanks to them I have two beautiful babies.

he was not my primary doctor, but he delivered my baby via C section. if you are thinking of having him do your c-section/surgery, think twice. He did my surgery very poorly. I can say it was poor because I was able to compare with the second c-section done by another doctor. My second OB reported that She had to remove plenty of scar tissue from previous surgery. I can see how fast I healed from 2nd c-section. my scar is barely there( thanks to my second OB who did a wonderful job). I had a big Keillod on the incision site. My second doctor opened me from the same incision and after my second C-section, my scar is flat without any tissue overgrowth!

He will have his back to you the entire appointment. He doesn't answer questions and shuts you up with "we will see". (incredibly frustrating) I had a complicated pregnancy. Dr Z was unwilling to explain things, give me options or possibilities. Lastly when we were first informed of our diagnosis he never bothered to speak to us - left us hanging. We had an appointment scheduled right after our ultrasound. He told us to reschedule as it was the end of the day and he was on his way out. he never called and asked his secretary to inform us to return 4 days later. upon return, with worsening prognosis on repeat US, he gave us 3 minutes of his time. He then proceeded to say "looks like things have progressed exactly as expected" - HE NEVER BOTHERED TO SAY WHAT WAS EXPECTED! never said "im sorry" or expressed any sentiment. I am only grateful for his vigilance we were diagnosed early and babies are fine but I need someone who is willing to be more human and interact.

I was really nervous about Dr. Zervoudakis after reading the reviews here, but my experience so far has been nothing but positive. Unfortunately, I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks, but Dr. Z was always thorough, compassionate and wiling to discuss all of my options at every step of my pregnancy and eventual d&c. I've always found him to be very calm and balanced in his opinions with a good bedside manner. He has a great staff, too - his secretary Lena is very sweet. He does tend to run late, but I expect that from doctors in general, so I just bring a book.

I had a very hard time finding an OB--either they weren't taking new patients with due dates during the month I was due, or they didn't take my insurance, or they were only taking "high risk" patients. After spending the better part of a day calling almost every OB's office affiliated with Cornell, I got through to Dr. Z's office. His secretary was extremely helpful and friendly on the phone. What I can say is Dr. Z is extremely competent and gets the job done. He is not much of a hand-holder unless he really thinks there is something to worry about, which is fine by me. Early on in my pregnancy, he kind of seemed bored by me since I was not considered a high risk patient, and I guess since he's been doing this since about 1970 he must have been thinking something like "nothing to do here." As my due date neared though and there was more to do and prepare for, he stepped things up and did what needed to be done (maybe slightly more) for me to deliver a healthy baby.

This man is the reason I was able to bring a child into the world. Yes I have to admit he was always very very late, his bed side manner may not have been the greatest but he is an old school doctor and very caring and knowledgeable. I had went into preterm labor in a pregnancy before and every other doctor pretty much left me hopeless. But this man is an angel of God that helped me deliver a healthy baby girl. If I ever have another pregnancy he will definitely be my doctor of choice

He's always late. he's rude with no bedside manner. He doesn't even remember my name or questions he's asked me in a previous visit. For example he asks me every time if I plan to have an epidural and if I've had the flu shot (which I got from his office). All he does is make comments about my weight every visit - I have gained under 30 lbs and I'm 9 months pregnant! If I had it to do all over again, I would definitely choose a different doctor.
