Hard to rate doctors, dentists, and mechanics in my opinion. What left a bad taste in my mouth was I went in for an annual physical, which has no co-pay, and yet just received a bill for a $20 co-pay for a doctor's visit. In speaking with the insurance company they explained a doctor can do this because the doctor treated other issues while I was there. Problem is I didn't go in for any other issues, it was Dr. Slotkin who brought up if I had any other issues going on. Neither was pressing and I mentioned them because he asked about them. For one all he did was write a prescription, and for the other he handed me a pamphlet. To me this is sneaky and underhanded. I have to have trust in a doctor.

Doctor Slotkin and I are working steadily to get my numbers within "a range considered normal". I am working on my weight now and half way to my goal. We have my anemia fixed. I am certain that I will get the tests and care to make the numbers better.

Avoid 'Dr.' Slotkin at all costs! He barely went through the motions, spending barely two minutes in the room with us and sending us on our way without even telling us what his diagnosis was. We had to send the front desk back to get the information for us. Interestingly enough, he came up with a diagnosis of bronchitis and sinus infection by only listening to breathing through his stethoscope. He did not examine the back of the throat or nose, nor did he examine the sputum to determine whether the infection (if indeed it is an infection) is viral or bacterial, or even take any steps to rule out pneumonia. He also turned us down for a refill of prescription cough syrup, telling us to use over the counter Robotussin instead! If the over the counter drugs were working, we wouldn't have gone in to see this quack in the first place. Don't place your health in this guy's hands, they are not capable!

Dr. Slotkin is a quack. He orders expensive unnecessary testing. I feel cheated from this guy. Avoid at all costs!
