Amazing warm and truly caring professional. Truly a gift to Peterborough.
She made a very scary experience of a first root canal for my adolescent, an incredibly positive experience. She is thorough, compassionate and empathetic.
So grateful also that she takes dental coverage for lower income families too.
Highly recommend this wonderful doctor!

I’d definitely return. As root canals go this was easy.

It’s been almost a year since Dr Kilisian treated my tooth. I have TMJ and informed Dr Kilislian about it. When the procedure was about to start her assistant put a tubular piece of gauze in my mouth to hold my mouth open. I told Dr Kilislian that I needed more support than just gauze and she told me no I don’t. The procedure was 1 1/2 hrs long which would be extreme stress on a jaw joint if you have TMJ but as I believed Dr Kilislian that I would be ok.. A side note but I think it is important - shortly after I had been injected with the freezing my heart started to race, like really pounding and I started to shake (I was alone in the room - everyone left the room including the dentist which I thought was strange?). When Dr Kilislian returned I told her my heart was racing and I was shaking uncontrollably and she told me I would be fine. Very scary experience. Fortunately, I was ok but I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Getting back to the initial comments regarding my TMJ, I didn’t feel any pain or stress on my jaw during or after the procedure until the freezing went away. That’s when everything went down hill. I noticed numbness in my face that travelled from ear all the way to my lower lip, a constant, earache and pain in my jaw. I called the dental office about the pain and numbness that I was experiencing and I was told that Dr Kilislian couldn’t do anything about it as it wasn’t her field? I didn’t have these issues before the procedure. I now have jaw/facial pain 24/7, a constant earache, and numbness from my ear to my lower lip. I have been to emergency room with the pain and I have seen two other dentist for the same. The consensus from the medical field is that what I am experiencing is further and permanent damage to the jaw joint as well as the nerve that runs from my ear to my lip. The earache is from the joint damage. I have to live with this pain all because I wanted to save my tooth. I obviously now wish I had the tooth pulled instead.
A further side note : at the consult appointment Dr. Kilislian came into the room with blood on her dental jersey. I don’t want to say it was completely covered in it but sufficient to make me gag a little. I have never been to a dental surgeon so I didn’t know that I would be seeing someone else’s blood.
I hope I was able to write my thoughts as clearly as possible. Thanks for reading.

I saw Dr Kilislian a few weeks back at her clinic in Peterborough, and all I can say is WOW. Who knew going to the dentist, especially for a root canal would be as peaceful and as calming as sitting under a palm tree ocean side? That is literally how I felt when I entered her spa-like dental office. The receptionist greeted me immediately, and the staff were super cute and friendly. What an experience. My nerves were toast on my way there, but there was a level of comfort once I entered that office.
Dr Kilislian and the team at Kawartha Endodontics, your skills, and talents are out of this realm, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the comfort, and compassion you showed me when I was in for surgery. Thank you for following up with me to see how I was doing afterwards as well. An experience like no other. I wish she did general dentistry too, Id follow her everywhere!!!!!

I was referred to Dr Kilislian from my dentist because of a bad tooth ache. Dr K ( she told me to call her that because I couldn't pronounce her name) gave me a bunch of options to fix my tooth. My pain is gone and it was a good experience because she told me everything she was doing the whole time.

Unfortunately after visiting my Dentist he advised me to make an appoint to see if I required a root canal. He referred Dr. Kilislian. I was really nervous but her professionalism made the experience better. I don’t think anyone enjoys having dental work done but if you need it. I highly recommend this Dr. She really made me feel secure through the whole process.

She did a root canal of mine that resulted in more ongoing pain than my original condition that led to the root canal, hung firmly suggesting the neighboring tooth was likely the culprit and to have a root canal on that one too.
After a consult at another facility, had surgery to correct at Sunnybrook without any need to touch neighboring teeth. Trust your own instinct, don't be afraid to get second opinion. She was super friendly and personable on first visit, not on the following though, I didn't enjoy her hair dangling I my face, but I was too shy to ask her to pull it back (obviously pre-covid), a couple years ago...

My dentist referred me to her a number of years ago for work on an old tooth. She told me a root amputation would repair everything. Quoted me $2200 for all the work even though I had told her I didn’t have dental coverage. I decided to have the tooth pulled elsewhere . After several days her office called my dentist to see why I hadn’t booked an appointment. When they told her I had set up an appointment to have the tooth pulled her officalled me at home and told m they could do the root amputation for $1100 ! 50% off! This made me question exactly what kind of practice she ran as true professionals don’t bargain on prices to obtain your business. I had the tooth pulled by another dental specialist for $185. He told me root amputations weren’t done much anymore and the tooth was an old tooth which needed to go.

Great work while in the chair. Unfortunately, none of the fillings held until I could get my dentist. I would say shop around first.
