I was 14 at the time and I was scheduled for oral surgery. Dr Ellen (Lee) Colfer she goes by two names on this site so beware. She promised that if I had any pain to let her know and she would react accordingly. I told her to stop when I could feel her cutting my gums but she wouldn't listen and kept going. She was really rough on my mouth and it hurt more than anything, she told me to tell her if I was in pain and she would give me more anisthetics and then she told me to suck it up, she is pure evil. She should not be allowed to practice dentistry. She called me stupid, and didn't care about how I was feeling during the surgery what so ever. She messed up my mouth more than ever and now I am having to get more surgeries to fix her mistakes. Worse experience of my life. She yelled at her assistants and treated them horribly as well. When my parents came in she said under her breath to one of her staff members that she wanted them out of there. Since then I have not been able to go into surgeries feeling confident, do not go to her for services you will highly regret it. I feel bad for her staff because she treats them horribly along with other patients. When confronted about the situation of the surgery she completely lied about everything, and said that I made everything up.

Had several bad experiences with doctors (including oral surgeons) over the past few years so I was apprehensive to have gum grafting done. Many people report having horrible and painful experiences with this type of surgery, but with Dr. Colfer it was practically pain-free and the results are amazing. Dr. Colfer and staff are very helpful and accomodating, and managed to get me an appointment very quickly before my extended insurance expired. For oral surgery I wouldn't refer my family and friends anywhere else!
