The worst experience ever. Nothing explained. Asked me over and over if I enjoyed pain. Never again.

Completely screwed up my knee replacement. Then performed a horrible revision. At the beginning when I told him I needed to go over his info w my wife, he stated "a man does not have to get permission from his (female) partner. Sexist, won't admit to mistakes.

Was uninformed, combative when wrong, and generally abusive. DO NOT see this doc without a penis. Has problems with women pts.

i cannot fault the right knee replacement, my new knee is great. However I contract staph during or immediately following the surgery. Dr. Metwally tried to explain this away, over prescribed antibiotics after nearly six months I became resistant / toxic. It took an ER doctor to explain this two weeks ago. In other clinics at the hospital he operates out of I had several staff members mention other patients with similar issues with Dr. Metwally. What is he doing, or not doing in surgery that allows for staph infections?

Exactly two months after total knee replacement surgery and I couldn’t be happier. The knee is still stiff but the pain is totally gone! Dr. Metwally originally rejected me because of my weight BUT, unlike other surgical centers I went to, he spoke to me personally on the first visit. He was so instructive and encouraging that it motivated me to get the weight off. Three months later I was in for surgery. The operation went off without a hitch, the operating staff was very warm and friendly as well as his office staff. I give De. Metwally my highest recommendation not only for his medical expertise but also for his bedside manner.

Dr. Metwally is a first class doctor. He is the best at making the patient feel totally taken care of. The surgery staff is also number 1. Was expecting to be tired after TKR surgery, but after the pain block wore off on legs at 6:30 pm, I was able to make 4 trips around cubical of rooms and was able to improve range of motion to 92 degrees. Dr. Metwally made that possible, because his patients experience NO pain for 18 hours, from time of surgery.
Believe me, the physical therapy is difficult, even if you haven’t had issues with broken legs. Since my legs were broken in car accident 41 years prior; being able to Get most of the range of motion back the same day of TKR surgery is PRICELESS.
I am so glad I listened to Dr. Dowd, when he recommended Dr. Metwally. It is a treat to have such all around excellent care with Dr. Metwallys staff.
Dr. Hahn, the anesthesiologist and his staff are top notch and very colorful!

Both hips replaced and one year follow up - full range of motion!!
Great doctor- skilled surgeon- fast and painless recovery! So glad to have been his patient!!

Dr. Metwally was amazing , kind, gentle and took wonderful care of me. He explains everything so you can understand what to expect . My hip replacement has me walking again and able to do things I have not been able to do in two years . I am 73 and now will be able to travel and enjoy life free of pain. Thank you Jesus and Dr. Metwally .

Several people referred me to Dr. Metwally for my knee replacement surgery. At my first visit I experienced first hand how professional, kind, courteous and respectful he and his staff are. Throughout the pre-surgery steps, the surgery experience and follow-up, I felt so well cared for. Dr. Metwally is an excellent surgeon and has built a successful practice with a wonderful team of caring professionals. Highly, highly recommend!

I had One hip replaced 2 years ago that is perfect, and Dr. Metwally with his team did the other hip for me and I love it ! I will never stop thanking Dr. Metwally.
