A dentist should always try to save your teeth before moving to other methods. They should always explain your options and accurate costs. They should be proactive and not leave issues until they become expensive. They should explain each procedure thoroughly before starting. A dentist should have a signal you can give for the dentist to stop when needed. A dentist should truly care about his patients. This dentist is that and more. He stays late. He always finds time for emergencies. He has a gentle caring staff. He helps patients that can't afford cleanings and cleans thir teeth at appointments for fillings or checkups. He let's you pay what you can each month. He also does what he can to make your bill affordable to you. He is wonderful with children.
All dentists should be what dr tym i to his patients.

Very dedicated caring dentist.
When he had time between patients, he would clean/descale teeth. Give you a deal or let you make payments when needed.
Did his very best to save and fix teeth inexpensively before going to more expensive methods.
Always went the extra mile. A man that truly seemed to love his work and helping people. I was never turned away when I called in for urgent issues. He even stayed late when needed.
His staff is also wonderful. Even during covid, they all made you feel comfortable about the rules.
His very gentle manner puts you at ease, which is not always the case when going to the dentist.
He is a rare. I have only ever found 1 other dentist like him in 50 years.

Great dentist. When I became a new patient of Dr. Tym, even though I'm 34, we talked thoroughly about the best dental hygiene practices. I feel like other dentists won't do this past being a teenager - either because they don't care or because they just assume you are supposed to know what to do.
