I recently just saw Dr Chau yesterday and I it was literally the best patient doctor interaction I have had in my life. I am 29 years old and had a crush injury to my right rib cage, broke 4 ribs, had a collapsed lung/chest tube. Also had a labrum repair and an acromioplasty surgery done on my right shoulder. He was very thorough in my examination and I felt like I could be very open with him. He offered his opinion but left it very open to what I wanted to do. I was very impressed and would recommend this doctor to anyone who has had trouble with previous pain management doctors. Just be open and honest and he will be the same.

dr chau has been treating me since 2009 he was the first pain dr i saw after having bad pain in my hip and lower backfor 15 years. i do not like taking medication and dr chau took the time to find the right combination of medication without me having any reactions. since i have had adr surgery in august with little success thanks to dr chau he has been able to keep my pain under control after a disapointing failed surgery. to the patients out there with the bad feeling towards dr chau i beleive you may be there for other reasons than pain control and it will not take him long to pick you out, im sure he has seen ever trick in the book from you drug seekers. i would recommened dr chau to anyone he has legit pain and needs a doctor who will get your pain controled but you better be 100% truthful with him or you will be out to door as fast as you came in.

I have been going to Dr. Chau since an auto accident several years ago. He has been everything I could ask for in a doctor. He has helped me find a combination of treatments and Rx's to manage my pain. I have recommended him to several friends who have had similar results.

I'm so glad this doctor has plans on retiring soon, I was sent to him cause I wanted a "alternative treatment" and no more pain killers, and I left his office so "weirded out". First of all, the exam room I was in had huge stacks of other patient's files, I could of read through them if I wanted to, then he came in and started yelling at me asking why I was there "again", this was my first visit, then he found out it was the wrong file he had. His office was dirty, all the patients there look like street junkies, I was worried for my safety. He even tried convince me to go back on pain medications, almost tried to push me. Then when I was leaving, the secretary up front still handed me a script for narcotics, i took them and made a few phone calls, where I found out he had too many complaints, a detective called me back, reassured me that this doctor will be gone pretty soon, if he doesnt retire within the next 1-2 years, then steps will be taken. He even has sexual abuse complaints?!?

I saw Dr. Chau for treatment for a sports related injury and the staff was able to schedule an appointment right away for me. He is very polite and respectful and takes the time to listen. I did not feel rushed in his office. He addressed my pain and I was back on my feet after only a few acupuncture treatments. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

What can I say, he's a complete jerk, he has no idea what he's doing. I have family members who are drug addicts that go to him and he has no idea about thier drug addiction and keeps prescribing opiods to them, BUT I have a friend that was severely hurt 6 years ago, and was in so much pain he kept ending up in the hospital,(and he's paralyzed and feels like his legs are always on fire) and Dr.Chau's answer to him was antideppresants, so how come the drug addicts get drugs from him but the ones who arnt addicts but in severe pain cant get treated. I went to him for about a year and he kept injecting my back and making it way worse, and when I told him, his answer was "oh well", so I ended up in the ER where I stayed for a few days to get my pain under control and found a new doctor that treats me way better. Dr.Chau should just retire before he kills someone, or one of the drug addicts he treats ends up overdosing.
