Dr. Stern is an 5 star example of what an Emergency Doctor should be. He not only delivered my results quickly but most importantly took the time to clearly explain the results in a caring and professional manner that made me feel like I would never want to see any other emergency room doctor other than Dr. Stern.

Dr. Stern treated my mother on Sept 1st 2023 at the JGH emergency. He went over and beyond, provided excellent treatment! He was very patient with my mother, took the time to listen to our concerns and then made sure that she got all the recommended screening tests and clearly explained what each test was for and what the next steps would be. Furthermore, on the Monday, he followed up via telephone and email!!! Impressive! Dr. Stern, thank you so much for all your hard work, professionalism and support; greatly appreciated!

Dr Errol Stern along with the emergency nurses were excellent with my wife. Professional in every aspect. We have a daughter who worked in emerg for 10 years in Toronto and is now there in a teaching position. Dr Stern went beyond one’s expectations. He addressed our concerns and would not discharge my wife until he exhausted every means of testing and forwarded information to his colleagues for a subsequent follow up appointment. Extremely unprofessional. Poor manners. Asks questions but doesn't listen. Cuts you off. As a ICU nurses I can tell he did a very poor physical exam on me. After 8 hours of wait I'm very disappointed.

I saw Dr Stern in the emergency room. The care I received was the best I’d ever had in an ER and felt as though I was seeing a family doctor who was invested in my care and well being. since seeing Dr. stern I have seen a specialist due to his help and have an expedited surgery. As a nurse and a patient of Dr. Errol Stern, I highly recommend this physician. I recently met Dr. Stern following a traumatic accident. I found him to be an extremely caring & collaborative doctor, interested in his patients. His capacity to listen to my concerns and answer my many questions was extremely comforting to me during my visits to the emergency room and thereafter. I was able to challenge him with my questions, he was genuine and reassuring, especially in my moments of fear.
He has the confidence in himself to consult other colleagues when he requires clarification. This is a quality that is rare to find.
