Dr Saunders performed a VP shunt revision on me in 2015. He was nothing but professional and skilled. The morning after my successful surgery he visited me with Dr Pokrupa who had been my neurosurgeon in Montreal. Glad to be alive to write this review.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Saunders for my spinal tumor. It's unfortunate to see negative comments on this site which are much more to do with the hospital system than with a doctor specifically. Nonetheless, I found Dr Saunders and his staff to be very professional and to-the-point, and the surgery went successfully. I'm back walking and moving in a way that I didn't expect to be possible years ago. I'm thankful and rate my experience as very positive.

Terrible bedside manner, didnt seem to be caring at all. I had surgery on my neck and chlorhexidine pooled in my eye and was NEVER rinsed out! They didnt tell me and blamed me for gouging at my eye..the eye injury was worse then healing from my surgery. I almost had to have a cornea transplant. I got the ombudsman from the hospital involved and they all blamed me. Paperwork came out of the blue, that my eye was rinsed and patched .. that never happened. Terrible experience!

Old school arrogance and indifference. Really shocking that, regardless of from what era you received your training, you'd fail at basic elements of being a health care provider like punctuality and communicating with the patient. It's a shame he's involved in educating the next generation of physicians.

I had nothing but a great experience with Dr Saunders. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, and my family and I found him to be very professional, respectful and confidence inducing. He performed two successful surgeries on me which have significantly improved my life

He has bad bedside manors. He made me go gor xrays just cause he could find my current ones. Than he said he refuses to helo me with my vp shunt. He started throwing my papers around. I wouldnt suggest him at all to anyone

Dr Saunders knows his stuff. Was terrific throughout my stay at KGH. Surgery was a success and his follow through was most appreciated. Couldn't have been more helpful and reassuring

Caused me to have a blood clot that has resulted in more problems than before surgery. Seems to have trouble hearing and his bedside manner is non existant.

There is no doubt that Dr. Saunders knows his stuff, what I don't like is his bed side manner is terrible. My mother in her 70's went to see him on a referral from her GP. She has chronic back pain, bit of nerve pain and was hoping to get some good information from him. He never introduced himself, made my mother and I both feel like we were insignificant, and made us feel very inferior to his "superior being". He was not able to access any of my mother's medical data (x-ray, mri, etc etc). Did not give her any options on how to proceed and was just plain ignorant. He acts like he is holy than thou, and let's face it no one is. He could use a long course on interpersonal skills and how to be more compassionate to patients, he is just an ignorant old man.

Dr. Fraser Sanders is the best neurosurgeon you’ll ever meet is done now three surgeries on me all successful in my eyes he is the best
