A year ago, I found out I was going to lose my second molar tooth despite prior to treatment to preserve it . I am a 53 yr old osteopenic middle aged active woman . I never thought this could happen to me and certainly not this young! When I went to Dr. Akin for a consultation, he instantly put me at ease and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. He has such a gentle and compassionate spirit and every staff member that I interacted with was the same. He and his staff made me feel so comfortable, taking their time to answer all of my questions and explaining what to expect and follow up post-healing instructions. They made me feel like I was their only patient that day, even though I knew they had others. Fast forward to the day of my procedure and it was the exact same treatment . His staff immediately put me at ease , from the warm cozy blanket to the gentle IV placement . The procedure went extremely well and I am now on my way to healing with no complications. Dr. Akin even called me that evening to make sure I was doing ok! I cannot say how impressed I am with this wonderful gentle doctor and his lovely staff.

Dr. Akin is an amazing oral surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and extremely skilled. I had a dental implant and I experienced absolutely no pain or discomfort. He and his staff truly care about their patients. I was so impressed that he personally called to check on me and answer any questions I had after my surgery. I had done a lot of research prior to making the initial appointment with Dr. Akin. I am so happy I chose him!!! He is absolutely the best!!!

Wonderful experience. The staff at the front was extremely friendly in setting my appointments and filling out my insurance paperwork. Dr. Akin was very helpful in explaining the procedure and answering all of my questions which really put me at ease. The nurses were sweet as could be and all I remembered was getting an IV and then I woke up and it was done. I was never in any pain and only experienced mild soreness and swelling (had all 4 wisdom teeth removed--all impacted). Couldn't have asked for it to go any better. I would recommend Dr. Akin and his staff to anyone!

Very, very nice. I get very nervous about oral surgery, and he put serious effort into making me feel at ease. I also appreciated that when he showed me my x-ray, he actually told me what everything was called and showed me what was wrong with my mouth. It was very interesting and I was glad to be recommended
